DHS spending $80 million for defense against civil disturbance--NOT!

The story goes that in anticiaption of riots by civilians receiving cuts to their food stamps, DHS was spending all that money to hire more agents. The story is totally bogus and all the sites listed below, as well as a report on Fox News, fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Apparently these links do not believe in fact checking.

Which link proves your point? I have heard from my friends in DC that there are extra agents being put on the rolls and very quickly. Ordinarily it take about 3 months for the hiring process, but these people are being hired basically from quick review of resumes, about 2 weeks from submission to on the rolls. No one can tell me why, but I heard from very reliable sources.

No link. It was on the news tonight, just caught the end at a friend's house. Didn't recognize the newscaster and it wasn't the time to inquire. I tried to find it through a search but only found the ones noted.
My condolences on your recent loss.

Believe it...Obummer has been preparing for this sort of thing since he was elected. In fact, they have put more effort into defending against domestic unrest than they have protecting us from any attacks from the outside.

Be Afraid ! Be Very Afraid !

Thank you for your condolences, it is appreciated.

So, back to the subject, it seems that one unknown newscaster made a statement without any real knowledge and that would make it true. OKAY. Thanks

From my sources, there are no plans for drawing back on federal employment. If anything, the federals employees have almost doubled in the past 7 years and there are over 90,000 jobs that were just listed.

Beautiful! You post all those links to stories saying it is true, and you rebuff them by one unknown newscast you happened to watch? Of which you only heard the end of it? Wow! Now, that was real informative...NOT!

I agree, I acted hastily and needed to have supplied a source. Still cannot find a site that debunks. The story as best I understand it is that DHS was involved in a normal contract of 80 million but the coincidence of it coming with a reduction in food stamps prompted an over-active imagination at infowars to link it together. Hopefully, I will be able to get evidence, one way or the other. My apologies for an unsupported thread.

How did you come to the conclusion the newscaster "had no real knowledge? I was one the one without any real knowledge, just a viewer and without a source.

CNN, NBS, and CBS have all reported on the paranoia of infowars and Fox News in this confabulated report on looking to counter EBT rioters. Too funny if you are not too much invested.

Another point to look at, an aside if you will, is that these various entities all quote the same article. That should itch or mabe even pique your curiosity.
