The Mystery of the Muslim President

Fix This Nation - Sept 21, 2015

The Republican Presidential Primary Show has been really good this season, which was why it was disappointing to see they were running repeats this weekend. Reporters asking candidates about whether or not Barack Obama is what he claims to be. We just did this a couple of months ago after Rudy Giuliani questioned his patriotism. It was boring then and it’s boring now. It’s a transparent attempt for the media to see which Republicans will mess up and say something they can play ad nauseum for the next three days.

This time around, of course, it’s about Donald Trump and what one of his supporters said in a town hall rally last week. That’s right, we now have to not only rake this guy over the coals after every blunt comment he makes but also the comments his supporters make. Is there anyone out there still arguing that there’s no liberal bias in the media? Surely not.

Adept anglers that they are, the press caught a live one in Dr. Ben Carson. Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday, Dr. Carson went well beyond defending Trump.

“I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation,” Carson said. “I absolutely would not agree with that.”

Carson, always quick with a good line, said a president should be “sworn in on a stack of Bibles, not a Koran.” Later, he waffled a bit when asked whether or not Muslims should be able to serve in the Congress.

Man, even Trump knows better than to go down this road. Maybe Carson is throwing himself on the sword for Trump. He did seem awfully reluctant to engage the frontrunner at the last debate, taking an unnecessarily deferential tone when correcting him on vaccines. He is the damn doctor, after all. Embrace your authority!

We’ll have to wait and see if Carson can weather this storm. Democrats are already in a frenzy about the original Trump (non)remarks, and the media is treating this whole thing with a gravity usually reserved for murder. Of course, we all know how much they love their Muslims. Where would this proud country be if it weren’t for our humble Muslim beginnings, eh, Mr. President?

You know how we could have avoided all of this? By not electing a guy with a Muslim background and a Muslim name seven short years after Muslims killed 3,000 Americans in the worst terrorist attack of all time. Hey, it was great that we finally elected a black president, but really? Are our attention spans that short?

And if it was shown someday that Obama really was a covert Muslim, would it be surprising in the least? It’s not that hard to appear non-Muslim, even to a skeptic. And yet this president can’t escape these rumors. If you haven’t convinced almost everyone by now, then maybe it’s your problem, not ours. And if the last seven years are representative of a Muslim administration, then who can blame Dr. Carson for hating the thought of another one?

~~~
Looks to me Dr. Carson was & is correct, just look where we are now with this undeclared Muslim... Don D.
I always get a measure of enjoyment from your posts Don, but I don't always agree with them. I won't go into a lot of detail here, but I have personally seen BHO admit from his own mouth that he is a muslim (caps.refused) many times on TV & in various publications. BHO has also acted muslim since he has been the Fake president I believe him to be. I find it hard to understand what all the confusion is about as if to say "if the shoe fits, wear it" "it will all come out in the wash"....
I agree. His miss speaks have been pointed. The hand signs were visually stark and could not be misunderstood. Anyone unfamiliar with hand signs as language would miss this. Those of us who have spent time in the middle east understand the age old need for them and it is still practiced in that region. Reason, to many languages and dialects for anyone to follow. They were mostly nomads just a few decades ago and used hand signs to a significant level. Still do.
Don't write it off. It was still being used here at home a hundred and fifty years ago by American Indians.
Heck I used the method a little 35 years ago while in Saudi Arabia.
According to the Judeo-Christian Bible: Mohammed was NOT meant to be the 'son of promise'--Isaac was (Read the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar. And, Read what Rabbi, St. Paul stated about it) Muslims would deny this in order to placate and appease their viewpoint, but it's the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar that puts the Mohammed 'thing' in perspective...Today, there may be, those that believe the United States to be 'the' Isaac Nation, because our Constitution and Bill of Rights is based on Judeo-Christian values. The Muslim faith preaches that Christ was a prophet (a semantically and illusive way to pseudo-ally identify one's self as being 'Christian'...because technically the word, "Christian" means to be, "Christ-like". If one is truly spiritual one can be 'Christ-Like' regardless of identifying one's self with 'any' spiritual belief system. As mentioned Muslim's believe Christ to be 'a' prophet, albeit not as advanced as Mohammed...a true misnomer... because one only need to study the 'life' of Mohammed contrasted to Christ's teachings, and life-style. I meet and befriended a Muslim many years ago that recanted to me that much of the life of Mohammed is based on 'legend' and 'myth'---whether that is true or not is something to be considered. There are those out there that would attempt to apply the 'same' to Christ. However, study the teachings and 'life-example' of the Christ and come to your own conclusion. The Koran teaches Sharia Law is a 'divine decree' that 'all' nations on this planet should be 'ruled' by...therefore, the people of the planet would have to relinquish their 'free-will' (to whatever level that walk in it as a realization) to sharia law. Muslim teachings are designed for the dominating nations through antiquated legalistic disciplines--killing--hate. It's in the Koran. Christ's teachings and life-style (apart from religiosity of 'any' kind) are loving...Christ brought us the message of the God of Love--not hate...Carson is correct: Once a Muslim 'denies' sharia law and puts the United State Constitution 'above' the Muslim tenants, 'that' Muslim is 'supposed' to be considered as a 'infidel'...further meaning; "that" one is no longer considered as being a true Muslim. So what would happen if such a person was in that position? He could 'deny' the Muslim faith and still carry out the sharia law agenda's...because he need only repent silently, in his heart, and of which he can keep somewhat secret using semantics and speculation in regards to the public as the detractors. Of course behind the doors and with certain Muslim factions he could decry the Constitution and Bill of Rights while outwardly as a "Wolf in sheep's clothing' appear to 'appease' certain American political factions...Wow! does this sound ''somewhat' familiar?...And, if a Muslim 'candidate' for political office would put sharia law above the Constitution of the United State of America, I.e. in his heart---then it becomes nothing more than a intellectual 'game' of deception. Regardless, it's right back to the same hypocrisy that has infiltrated our government. A dedicated Muslim who whole-heartedly adheres to sharia law in a U.S. Congressional role? Are you kidding me? How is such a one able to balance and exhibit any form of integrity regarding being a 'servant' of the American people apart from being influenced 'dramatically' and 'predominantly' by one' s belief system without it being nothing more than a charade? Again, doesn't this sound 'somewhat' familiar...do we already have an example of this, hmmmn?
I stand with Ben Carson in his standing his ground. One must put the Constitution of the United States over any 'religion' including one holding a belief in Christianity or any other belief system that would want to institute a Theocracy---The Founding Father's painstakingly drafted our precious documents to be as detached and objective as possible concerning governmental rule toward attaining a pure as possible the 'separation of Church and State...Remember, this country was built on those who fled European-Governmental tyranny--and dictatorial rule.
