Simply put, I have never thought well of Donald Trump, and my descriptions, as written, fit him perfectly, IMO. Having heard them live, I found his characterizations of 'captured' POWs despicable. I am a Viet Nam Veteran, and I know the outstanding character of an individual POW.

Senator McCain has no political appeal to me, but if anyone doubts his service to country or strength of character while a POW...Google Colonel George 'Bud' Day's assessment of John McCain. Mr. Day was a Veteran of WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam, and a cellmate of Mr. McCain for years at the Hanoi Hilton as POWs. Mr. Day was also the winner of over 70 service ribbons including the Medal Of Honor. Even in light of other vicious attacks on McCain's service record, I most believe Mr. Day's accounting of the man. I salute and hold in the highest regard all Veterans, and most certainly former POWs.

My head and mind are perfectly fine, and I consider nothing I wrote regarding Mr. Trump a mistake. It is my opinion, and I weigh my opinions heavily before expressing them. You are, as well, entitled to yours.

I was not questioning you opinion of Trump but your agreeing with Kevyn the sub human who knows nothing. It was wrong of Trump to deminish McCains service however he is a despicable rino that should be noted . One has nothing to do with the other and I respect your opinion and your service. I was lucky enough to avoid Nam but flew 23 missions in Korea dropping bombs on rice paddies South of the Yalu river while all military targets were North. Seems like Nam and Korea were both a waste of everything.

Trump is saying what a large number of people at the base of the republican party believe. They are angry, hate how immigration and frankly technology and time have changed our nation. They wish to regress to a simpler time that they perceive the past to be. They long for the days when gay men were seen as sissys that could be roughed up or worse with immunity, blacks "knew their place" and answered yesssir mista and left white neighborhoods in fear after dark. These people don't realize that past generations of immigrants changed our nation mostly for the better as they became part of us we became part of them. Our foods, dialect, clothing, music, art and culture both absorbes and dilutes theirs and we have become better for it. Trump is a shameless self promoter who loves the limelight. He knows how to keep in the media spotlight and he is successfully exploiting the fear and anger of these people to his own ends. Trump is no kid anymore, he has more money than he knows what to do with and is interested in leaving his mark on history; and as he always has he is going for quanity over quality, flash over subtlety. He knows that he has no chance at the Republican nomination or the White House and he also knows that he will, and he fully intends to leave his already angry and disillusioned supporters with their unobtainable dreams crushed. Trump supporters are being used and exploited at great cost to the republican party, and while to a certain extent I relish this, I also find it disturbing that Trump is so cavalier in exploiting these people, he is making a bigger mockery of our political process than it already is and turning it into reality TV and rattling the cages at the nut house in the process.

Why are you so afraid of Trump???? If you aren't afraid of him, why do you fuss about him so much? If Trump is just a fool to be ignored, then ignore him the way Republicans ignore Joe Biden. Joe is a circus clown who hasn't a chance of being nominated in the primaries, and Republicans know that, so they don't waste their time fussing about him. Forget about Trump and focus on the real contenders who are going to trounce Hillary.
