If any state deserves a fort named after a failed general it would be California. They've already surrendered to Mexico.

Bragg was a martinet who was universally disliked by his officers and men, and who lost every battle in which he exercised command. His longevity in command was the result of his friendship with Jefferson Davis, another unsung hero of the Union.
On another note, the Confederate battle flag's presence or absence in South Carolina's government is none of California's business. There is no basis for calling secession an act of treason, since it was not forbidden by the Constitution, nor were hostilities commenced by any of the seceding states until after their secession was announced. Declared Belligerants cannot commit treason against other Declared Belligerants.
