You cite Politifact as a source are you cereal? {Cereal? You shouldnt rely so much on spell check. Are you able to refute any of the politifact conclusions? Are you saying, for instance that Bachmann is not a pathological liar?}
You are so stupid it is difficult to talk to you. Obama went to Harvard he has to know that the rich pay 40% of taxes, the top 10% pay 65% and the top 50% pay all of them. He has to know that economically you bottom 50% are getting free ride, how much more do you expect to take for sitting on your asses? He also has to know that no matter what you do for people like you who do nothing they will never improve unless they start living a positive lifestyle. How about Hillary who may well rival Obama in level of dishonesty and it got people killed.
{First of all, if you want to have a productive discussion about taxes and income. Dont start out by calling me stupid. GOT THAT? It does nothing for your credibility and makes it appear that youre too insecure in your convictions, to threatened by the truth to be civil. Secondly, while youre disparaging my intellect, you seem to be so ignorant as to not realize that the numbers presented above is only part of the story, the part that fits your narrative about how the rich are getting screwed. Either that or youre being blatantly deceptive and DISHONEST- knowingly using propaganda to make a one sided case while leaving out pertinent facts. I have to wonder if you, and the others on here are that wealthy, or if you've just been duped into doing the bidding of the rich.
I will submit to you that the real story is 1) The percentage of income that is paid as taxes, including state and local taxes, by various income groups and 2) income and wealth disparity , which is growing. While you people are whining about socialism, we are experiencing a redistribution of wealth upward, creating a growing plutocracy in America.
Starting with taxes paid, you might want to read the Washington Post article to which I provided a link below. The figures that you provide above are based strictly on Federal taxes which by no means tell the whole story. In case your reading comprehension or attention span is to short to absorb the whole thing, here are excerpts:
. the payroll tax only applies to first $110,100 or so, our rich friends is only paying payroll taxes on 2.7 percent of his income. The guy making $40,000? Hes paying payroll taxes on every dollar of his income. Now whos not getting a fair shake?
the poorer you are, the more state and local taxes bite into your income. As you get richer, those taxes recede, and youre mainly getting hit be federal taxes. So thats another lesson: When you omit state and local taxes from your analysis, youre omitting the taxes that hit lower-income taxpayers hardest.
most Americans paying between 25 percent and 30 percent of their income See the graph!
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/09/19/heres-why-the-47-percent-argument-is-an-abuse-of-tax-data/May I also point out that during the Obama administration, the top marginal tax rate of 35% is the lowest since the Reagan years. Between WWII until the Reagan Presidency, the rates ranged from 70% to 91 %. Likewise, the capital gains tax rate of 15% for individuals is at its lowest since 1941. And while the capital gains tax on corporations is historically high at 35%, that has been the rate since the Clinton administration and was only slightly lower at 34% from Reagans second term through much of Bush 41s time in office. It should also be noted that this tax was raised from 28% under His Holiness Reagan during his first term. Do you still want to whine about taxes?
And, the other part of the story is wealth and income disparity which is creating a plutocracy in America . Read it!
http://inequality.org/At this point Im tempted to use your tactic to ask if youre to stupid to understand this, but I wont stoop to that level. Ill ask you. Are you?}
