Democrats: The Real Party Of The Rich
Jun 22, 2015 18:10:23   #
Steve700

Free Speech: Right after the Supreme Court's decision to lift limits on campaign contributions, Democrats and their left-wing supporters assaulted the decision as a boon to Republicans, "the party of the rich."

This of course is part of a far-wider narrative — slavishly repeated by largely unquestioning liberal media — that the GOP outspends Democrats on campaigns thanks to big-buck donors like the billionaire Koch brothers.

But, as it turns out, that's a lie — as big a lie, in fact, as "you can keep your insurance," "you can keep your doctor" and "ObamaCare will bend the cost curve down."

By almost every measure, in fact, it's the Democrats, not the Republicans, who are the party of the rich.

Start with Congress itself. Who are the wealthiest members? Well, there are 269 millionaires among Congress' 535 members. And most of them are Democrats.

And contrary to the hand-wringing on the left about the Supreme Court's 5-4 McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission ruling Wednesday, Democrats far outspend Republicans on elections. It isn't even close.

According to OpenSecrets.org, from 1989 to 2014 rich donors gave Democrats $1.15 billion — $416 million more than the $736 million given to the GOP. Among the top 10 donors to both parties, Democrat supporters outspent Republican supporters 2-to-1.

But what about the villainous Koch brothers, those conservative plutocrats supposedly seeking to control American politics? They rank 59th on the list of big givers — behind 18 unions and No. 1 Act Blue, the massive left-wing fund raiser that gives only to Democrats.

Indeed, a recent book, "The New Leviathan," says donations to Democrats outstrip those to Republicans 7-to-1. How can this be? Democrat support soars when you include unions, universities, superPACs, nonprofits, left-wing interest groups, and — ready for this? — Wall Street (which overwhelmingly favors Democrats).

So Democrats don't really want to restrain money in politics. Just the money that goes to Republicans.

Voters need to stop listening to the lies. Since 2008, the number of people who call themselves middle class has plunged from 53% to 44%, according to a new survey by the Pew Research Center.

And, by President Obama's own admission, his party's control of Congress and the White House has led to 95% of all income gains going to the top 1% in income.

So please, enough of this about Democrats being the party of the little guy.

What democrats?
Fact: When the commie party was outlawed and the commies were homeless, and they could not pass themselves as commies for they were illegal and then became Liberals (what a crock) they looked around desperately for a new home. And loand behold they found one. In the democratic party. And they took it over. And for a while the real honest to goodness democrats, real Americans, became known as blue dogs. Since then they have all passed on, and the ragtag of the ones who still call themselves by that name are indeed the true blue "liberals". Don't forget that for years the democratic party was leaning to the left. And those lefties finally found their chance to call themselves what thy really are, "liberals" Though, of course, as everybody with a bit of knowledge and brain power knows, or should know, are in fact commies under cover. The treasonous among us. The enemy within.

That's all correct. What is crazy is that most of them do not recognize Marxist propaganda when they see it, and they have no idea how much that commie propaganda and subversive Marxist tactics, have formed their attitudes and molded their minds.

Here we go again! Each party accusing the other of being the party of the rich, when the fact is - they are BOTH the party of the rich. Without rich benefactors, both party's would cease to exist. The fact that they both DO have rich patrons, allows them to hire lackeys to spin this BS, or that lie.

By both party's accusing the other of "crimes" they themselves commit, the hope is that folks will become so confused, or so immured to the subject, that they simply don't care any more.

For anyone who cares to check, this subject comes up every few days or so, by lackeys from one party or the other and apparently, they coordinate their efforts, so as to not overlap the accusations. That's pretty good management of total BS.

The Republicans get out of their limo in the front of the building and the Dem's get let out at the back. They all end up in the same room.

Yep and pretty much agree on every issue that screws Americans the most. What we see on CSPAN is all show, another fake reality show. Ever notice how all those speeches - are given to an empty building? The rest of the Congress isn't even there and don't need to be - because all of the issues have been decided already - in private.

What we are allowed to know about what our representatives are doing, is carefully scripted and edited. We spend more on Congressional STAFF, than we do on the representatives themselves, which is necessary - as they are rarely present. Instead of being at work, they are off fund raising, enjoying lobbyist funded events, and/or getting their instructions from the uber rich - at the most exclusive and expensive locations on Earth.

There is a reason why you only see one or two representatives at any given time. It is carefully choreographed, to give the APPEARENCE that they are at work. Have you noticed that all of them are now wearing some sort of pin on their lapels? I'm now wondering, if there are microphones and cameras in them, giving the REAL rulers of our country, real time information, allowing them to control their lackeys more accurately. It is NOT beyond the realm of possibility.

Welp! Looks as if the lobotomy worked! Steve's post is dead on the mark. The more money that pours into Democratic coffers the louder they yell that "Republicans are the party of the rich!" Which is pure bologna. Harry Reid could not vilify the Koch Bros. to his own satisfaction no matter how often he repeated HIS lies about THEM and he just keeps yammering on. Your "alleged" comment above says nothing to the post and is a pure ad hominem attack on Steve and shows what an empty shirt you are.

IPN, you, also are spot on. Our "representatives" represent no one and nothing but themselves. They are a "ruling class" of people who have no interest, nor any need, to do better because we, their bosses, do nothing to hold them to task. Doc Hastings of E. WA fame did a great service for a friend of mine who was bringing a Chinese bride and her son to America. Without his intervention the young man might have been returned to China with no chance to come & live with them. As it is he is doing his doctorate through U Dub in microbiology and chemistry. He's never had lower than a 4.0 in any subject. But that's the only example I have of someone in Wash., D.C. actually doing something for a constituent.

How much did it cost your friend? I'm assuming there must have been SOME sort of quid pro quo, because I find it hard to believe that anyone would do such a thing out of the goodness of their heart. Perhaps I'm being too cynical, but I've yet to find an example that makes me believe so. This is a case where I'd love to be wrong.

Actually, there were some court and filing fees but no money changed hands over or under the table on this one. Doc has been one of the few examples in D.C. of what we all hoped our reps would be.
