Citing wasted tax dollars and attacks on the constitutionally guaranteed liberties of the American people, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.; shown) introduced a bill to restore U.S. sovereignty and withdraw from the United Nations. The effort to de-fund and exit the UN comes amid growing scrutiny of the global organization, often ridiculed as the “dictators club,” and myriad mega-scandals swirling around it. However, despite ever-growing support in Congress for restoring U.S. sovereignty by withdrawing from the UN over the years, the legislation still faces an uphill battle.

In a statement last week announcing the American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2015 (H.R. 1205), Rep. Rogers noted that many of his constituents in East Alabama would likely agree with his position that U.S. government participation in the UN should end immediately. “The U.N. continues to prove it’s an inefficient bureaucracy and a complete waste of American tax dollars,” the congressman said, echoing widespread concerns about the international outfit expressed across America and worldwide.

“Why should the American taxpayer bankroll an international organization that works against America’s interests around the world?” asked Rep. Rogers. “The time is now to restore and protect American sovereignty and get out of the United Nations.” He cited attacks on U.S. liberties as a key motivation for the legislation.

Several other liberty-minded congressmen have also sponsored the legislation including constitutionalist Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Rep. John Duncan (R-Tenn.), Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-Ga.), and Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.). A previous bill to withdraw from the UN introduced in the last Congress by then-Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) garnered nine co-sponsors. With the regime ruling Communist China increasingly taking a leading role at the UN, among numerous other concerns, opposition to the global body is expected to continue growing.

I have been waiting for Congress to do this. Thank you Cong. Mike Rogers.
US is the milking cow of the UN as the UN mostly comprises of Muslim countries want to take over our sovereign rights and want US to pay more taxes via the usage of the internet. Below is the current UN funding as they try to undermine our country for their take over. UN officials are mostly corrupt, and using the US as their treasury to fund their corruptions and plans of takeover.

U.S. Funding of the U.N. System:
The U.S. has been the largest financial supporter of the U.N. since the organization’s founding in 1945. The U.S. is currently assessed 22 percent of the U.N. regular budget, and more than 27 percent of the U.N. peacekeeping budget. In dollar terms, the Administration’s budget for FY 2011 requested $516.3 million for the U.N. regular budget and more than $2.182 billion for the peacekeeping budget.[2]
However, the U.S. also provides assessed financial contributions to other U.N. organizations and voluntary contributions to many more U.N. organizations. According to OMB, total U.S. contributions to the U.N. system were more than $6.347 billion in FY 2009.[3] This is more than $1 billion more than total contributions as compiled by OMB for FY 2005,[4] and it is indicative of the rising budgetary trends in the U.N. and the consequential demand on U.S. financial support.

We need to get out of the UN. I think the NATO must be strengthened to protect the Western countries against aggressions by our enemies, the radical Islam who are powerful under the UN. President Obama's policies appeared to be helping these radicals.

And, .... just as another kick to the crotch of the US taxpayers, ... countries that together pay less than 1.3 percent of the total are able, under U.N. voting rules, to pass the budget over the objections of countries that contribute a combined 98 percent.

UN is a corrupt and abusive monster that needs to be abolished. I demand it, and I will talk to the legislators to start the process.

UN is destroying the US. UN wants to possess the US, takes over for their corrupt one world dominance under the leadership of corruptions. The tentacles of those UN members are strengthening to reach out and dismantle our constitution. We have problems within, and the problems of the UN intrusion.

America, we must unite and protect this country that the Founders have put up their lives, fortune, and sacrifices, along with all those who fought for our freedom. Without our support all those who died for us will be in vain.

May God bless America and all her people!
