I recently saw these critters for the first time and it startled me to say the least. I saw them from some distance and could not figure out what they were. First I thought they were some weird breed of sheep, then I thought somebody cross breeded sheep and pigs. My friends said I was smoking wacky weed.
Then I was told they are Mangolitsa. They are Austrian pigs.

Truly amazing. I wonder, would there be a market for their 'wool' in the Middle Eastern countries? And, do they call it wool? I must have missed that in the article.

I can understand the Muslims 'breeding' with the sheep, but with the pigs? I have my doubts, but then, Muslims are weird people, anything is possible with them, excepting, of course, embracing another 'religion'.

From everything I have been told they are not sheared. The wool is just a curiosity. When you see them for the first time they make you doubt your eyes. I was made fun of big time when I told people what I had seen.
