Up until now New Jerseys govenor was the favorite and presumed republican nominee. Dems Liked him so did Independants. Will the bridge scandal destroy him politically or will he recover and be the nominee.

The only people who liked him was his family, independents despised his arrogance and just in case, for the record the majority of Independents are Conservative, both Republican and Democrats, only Constitutional Purists not hacks.

fom,
Disclosure: This is the view of a conservative who always v**es:
In spite of all the lying (by others) at the National level, I tend to believe that Christy is telling the t***h when he says he was not responsible and (maybe) didn't know about it.
However, it is important that we wait for results of the investigations before we decide whether he is guilty or not.
(Watch FOX news (also) for something other than opinion)
If emails (or something else) PROVES he even knew about it , then he should be finished on the National level (the state can make their own decision about ree******n to governor for all I care)

I never liked him for a National candidate in the first place, and would not have v**ed for him in the primaries, because he still thinks the government is the solution to our problems, his e******n to the presidency probably would just sink the country into more of the economic morass into which we are now descending because of Obama's big government Nanny state policies. (Obama jobs policy: Labor force at 35 year low-no one working because they "can't" find a job and are being paid not to work !!! Yet the OFFICIAL unemployment rate is 7.6%? )

But I did/do like Christy's direct and honest approach in his dealings with people and the press. We need more politicians that honestly tell you where they stand.

I see him as another RINO who cannot be trusted not to cave on certain key issues so I would not v**e for him. Having said that, if nothing comes out showing that he was part of the decision to close the bridge then he will not be hurt by it. The new US attorney investigating the incident is an Obama appointee so everyone knows he will do all he can to nail Christie by direct evidence or implication.

If an appointee show bias in this case then it should be nullified. They are supposed to be investigating dishonesty impartially.

Yep but he did seem very likely to run.He was likeable to a broad scope of v**ers. Who knows where it goes now. My guess is Cruz or Rand Paul. What's yours.

If it follows the pattern of the last two e******ns several conservatives will run, and thus split the conservative v**e in the primaries. This will allow another RINO, AKA Democrat Lite, to get the nomination and go down in defeat in the general e******n.

Conservatives are not allowed to run, in the Single Party State we have become, there are no ways to express how both parties have become "party" to what the Caliph**e says, despite their selective se******n of insured tyrannical violations, but are Politically Correct, and opposition is now the obstructionism every one fears, called not long ago the "Two Party" system, Constitutional Democratic Republic political freedom to elect, not select the candidate, why does Karl Rove belong to the "Swedish Moderate Party" but claims influential direction of a party he has destroyed, why does he not "come out of the closet" and swears his devotion to Obama and his Nationalist Socialist Democratic Party" in reality a parallel to the Swedish Moderate Party, it has a curiously strange similarity it had originally existed, from 1933 to 1939, how strange, after Poland was invaded, all these borderline parties became one, maybe that is why the Swedish Moderate Party, waited to "come out" in the 1960's when things had cooled down.

Christie was never going to be the nominee in the first place. Not to be cruel, but the country will never elect a man the size of a small asteroid. Only one man of Christie's proportions has ever been elected president: William Howard Taft. Could he have been elected now? Not really. He could never have withstood the 24/7 mockery of modern day television. He would have been the relentless butt of humor (pardon my pun) by Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brian, and Bill Maher. Saturday Night Live would have interviewed 200 comedians who can put on a fat suit to portray him. Christie was never going to be president, long before traffic-gate. If you think the media doesn't suffer from looksism, you are living in a cave. The country is not ready for another President Ross Perot!

Just curious, how did the Democrats pick Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. as your candidates?
