While I am no way a goody two shoes. Many years in the Navy will see to that. I find it totally inappropriate to get up on a Sunday morning and begin reading filth that belongs on your favorite pornie page.
I toyed with the idea of unsubscribing to OPP because of a couple users.
I found out about the Ignore list so instead of depriving myself of some really good info by canceling my subscription, I have added people to my ignore list. Rave on,trash mouths, you can also make the list.
Also have 'met' some really great folks on here and I value that.

I don't have an ignore list. Some I just don't read unless others I respect have responded to the likes of CoolBreeze, etc.

I do much the same thing. Several "people" who are h**eful and crude do not deserve having any responses to the threads they originate. Otherwise, if they post on a normally decent thread I simply do not respond to any of their foul mouth posts on other peoples threads No reason to get uptight about it or as SWMBO says "get your undies in a knot over".

Click on a persons name and you will go to a profile page. Scroll down and you should find "Add to Ignore list". Just click it an whoever you selected should be out of your hair unless you reinstate them.

I have one person on my ignore list but other than that I simply pass over their posts or ignore them, not replying to a post., Easy to do and you leave their negativity with them.. it also sends a suttle message they aren't worth replying to...

Don't sweat the small stuff, En.. As you know it's all small stuff until you get to ohhh, the Nuc stuff that is fascinating!!! I thoroughly enjoy your posts and knowledge..Hint, hint~< No going anywhere...

Of much more concern to me is how readily the h**eful remarks, usually from the "progressives" but not always, totally destroy the discussion and make it impossible to get back to the subject that was the start of the thread. Why doesn't ADMIN just have one thread titled "D********g and pointless remarks and threats" and anywhere else such h**eful rhetoric is subject to a three day time out? It is to the point that I am about ready to give up here altogether and there are many that I would like to share thoughts with if the cancerous h**e speech could be avoided. Verbal chemotherapy is the only solution to this cancer.

Totally agree. In any setting I can imagine, I would not stick around to listen to the garbage and I'm sure you wouldn't either. So why does admin permit it. Freedom of Speech? You call that speech?. I call it abuse.
I am using the "Ignore feature" And if that doesn't work to my satisfaction, I'm out of here.

Gotta hurry to say, I really do enjoy visiting here and some of the people are real gems and I look forward to reading what they post and I would miss that. I added 3 people to the Ignore list just today. Unfortunately I did find 'garbage' from one on my Ignore list and was disappointed to see the message sneak through.
I would only hope people wise up to the fact:You aren't cute or clever. Instead it appears you have a limited grasp of anything civil and maybe anything worthwhile sharing.

I am a real oldfashioned prude and that language is unacceptable. Even more disconcerting is how readily the "progressive" are willing to insult the character and honesty of perfect strangers. They go so far as to claim they are child molesters, are the opposite sex from what they are, or are posting from an insane institution just because the poster in question does not follow the lies that are posted by this h**efully insulting person. The latest barrage against LindaJoy comes to mind. Why does ADMIN put up with this? Or are they enjoying the h**e smears for some perverse reason?
