Assisted suicide is a simple matter. Hand them a loaded pistol, walk away and listen for the shot. No further assistance required. By the way, suicide is a sin. Just so you know.

This article seems to present a half-t***h:

"A federal judge threw out a lawsuit by two alliances of doctors opposing state rules that require them to advise terminally ill patients to consider doctor-assisted suicide."

I see nothing in the wording of the bill that requires doctors to advise patients to do anything at all.
What it does say is that doctors may not withhold information that the patient requests.
It's unclear to me whether or not the law requires doctors to advise that the option of assisted suicide exists, but it is clear that it does not require them to actually recommend it.

As to it being a sin, I advise that if you think so you are perfectly free to not do it. Like playing cards, dancing, or engaging in homosexual behavior.
I happen to believe that life is an extraordinary thing to be protected. But it seems to me that to require a terminally ill patient to endure useless suffering is a terrible, terrible sin indeed.

Morphine is a wonderful drug. A quick shot, and the pain goes away. If it doesn't, then 'up' the dosage. Still not comfortable? 'Up' the dosage some more. Either way, the dosage will be sufficient to 'end the pain'...

Technically, that's not suicide, it's 'pain management'.

Suicide is self murder, a sin.
Homosexuality is murder of one's soul. A sin. Playing cards and dancing that is not a provocative dry sexual act is not a sin. To say something that is not a sin is a sin is a sin. It's called a Phariseical sin. To believe something that is a sin is not a sin, is to believe that something evil is good and that is a sin against the T***h. The T***h is The Holy Spirit, known as the Spirit of T***h. However, no one, not even God, can deny anyone the exercise of their free will. Every day, because of my fallen human nature and my lack of self discipline, I foolishly use my free will to sin. Every night I review the sins I committed that day and seek forgiveness and absolution. To fail to do this would be to show great disrespect to Christ for the sacrifice He paid for me. This is as natural as breathing for Christians. We are no less sinners than anyone else. There are only two kinds of sinners, those who are forgiven and those who are not.

That's a little bit rambling Padre! Is a sin to tell someone something is a sin when it isn't a sin?
Have you been writing Trump's interview talking points?

Hope you have a joyful Easter in any case!
