It appears from our short poll that everyone agrees that unemployment pay should not go on forever. This seems to put you at odds with Obama and the Democrats in Congress. To be fair Republicans appear to go along with paying forever because they lack the political courage to take a stand against it. Now, how about this? To fight income ine******y would you have been willing to do one of these at your current (or last job if you are retired)?
1. Pay everyone the average of all positions' pay scale
2. Have no position pay scales and just pay everyone the same regardless of job requirements

Neither!
Hire people based on qualifications at a starting pay, evaluate them through the pay scale as they prove their worth.
I worked under that system for over fifty years and was always well paid for my line of work. I spent most of my years at the top of my pay scale.
Best formula for being paid well: Find something you can do that requires some talent and sk**l, get someone to take a chance and hire you, then be there every day, all day, unless sick or on authorized absence, and do your job quickly, efficiently and right. Above all else, be honest with your self, your co-workers and your employer.

But, according to Obama that would not be fair because that creates income ine******y.

If you pay the Politicians what they are worth, this Country would be rolling in money
Obama is free with everyone's money but his own. If it came out of his pocket, I assure you, he wouldnt be so generous. He also does this to gain v**es for the Dems too.

believe me, if al-quaeda was based in this country, they would v**e for boy-wonder too.
The problem with the "income ine******y" argument is that it does not reward workers based on merit. Everyone is paid exactly the same, and that is simply "not fair." It sounds "fair", but its not.
I have been working the same job for 13 years. I do not want to be promoted because I have young children. But why should someone who has recently gotten the "same" job as me, be paid the same as I have when I have been a loyal employee to that same position for 12 years?
See, the "income ine******y" argument leaves no room for job longevity, job experience, training, background, or education. If everyone receives the same pay for the same job, where is the motivation for the employee to gain an education, better their training, stick to the same job for several years, or take business risks?
I mean, how would you feel if you were a loyal secretary for a "Dr Smith"
for 20 years, and he hires a new secretary straight out of High School with no background and no experience, and pays her the same wage as he does you? Now would that be "fair"? I think not.

a person's pay iz based on merit...not just because you're breathing.

Only Obama can complain of income ine******y after coming back from a 17 day multi-million dollar vacation.
Exactly! That's precisely what's wrong with the whole "income ine******y"
argument. It's not fair at all.
