Sad day for America

Trump and Ryan have proven they're not up to the task. Their signature platform for the last 7 years, repealing the ACA ( Obamacare ), an epic FAIL. The GOP has an excellent track record for telling us what we should NOT be doing, i.e., wh**ever democrats ARE doing, but has no clue about what TO do themselves. Do they really think they can sell the idea that making the lives of rich people easier, is what's best for ALL Americans?

I knew Ryan was beside himself with excitement, believing that he could finally take action on his insane ideas on the economy, now that the GOP had control of the whole shebang, but he forgot one important fact..........................this isn't HIS country, it's OURS. America does not belong to Trump, Trump supporters, or the GOP, nor does it belong to democrats. Selling false narratives in order to get v**es is one thing, actually governing in a fair and impartial manner is another thing - and it is apparent that they can't tell the difference.

Had they included democrats in their designs, and had they included healthcare professionals in their planning teams, they might have come up with a workable solution to this healthcare mess. In addition, had they included real time, accurate and REAL assessments of the current system, they might have taken their time and done this right. They did none of these things, choosing to plan and design around ideology, instead of reality. Trump still maintains that Obamacare is falling apart, even though the CBO and the insurance bean counters say otherwise, to wit; the insurance markets will stabilize this year.

If nothing else, this proves that ideology is NOT a viable platform for successful governance, not for democrats and not for republicans, and is successful for e******n campaigns only. The day that one party or the other, preferably both, begins to do what's best for their constituents, ALL of their constituents, and what is best for the COUNTRY, will be the day the government begins working as intended - something we've not seen in over 150 years.

Right this minute, Trump is blaming democrats for THEIR failure, suggesting they could have helped - even though WE know that they weren't asked. Trump is even suggesting he never said "repeal and replace", even though we KNOW he did, repeatedly. The fact remains, both Trump AND Ryan failed to sell this bill - because it was a train wreck right out of the gate, for the reasons I've already outlined. Perhaps, they might try again and use some common sense - and ask people who know stuff about it, like democrats who've been here before. The ACA was passed with democratic v**es alone, and was NOT a good bill. Republicans tried to pass their bill with republican v**es alone and couldn't do it, because it was a bad bill. Common sense says they should work together - but - that's no good for campaign purposes, so...........we're still screwed.

For heaven's sake. Round one of a 15 round fight just began and you act like the last bell has rung.

Don't be so desperate. It's silly at best and shows how terrified you are to grasp at straws for anything to feel better about.

That's like marrying a woman who has a child by another man and then purposely letting the child starve to death. So whose fault is it? Well the guardian of course.

You guys took on the task of healthcare. Well where is it? You had 7 years to come up with a plan and you fell flat on your face. Not even the self proclaimed king of the deal could get it done. That's not democrats fault--if you are unwilling to work with healthcare then get out of the way and let us fix it. If you don't then is clearly is your fault...

Of course it's also the fault of the Democrats. Schumer just stated they weren't about to help. You're to stupid to understand the difference between the ACA and what The Repubs just tried. You are just happy it didn't pass because it was a "Republican" bill. I v**e Republican but was glad the bill died because the bill didn't guarantee lower premiums. You are happy about people having to stay on health insurance plans passed solely by your dumbass party. How will you feel when it implodes? You guys wrote it. Passed it. Own it.

You should have let him play in your coal ash. The Mercury, Lead, and arsenic in it should have done him in--or maybe you did and that's why everyone would have been better off if he were dead...

No, like it or not those who take over the reigns of government are responsible for the programs they assume power of. If you guys can't handle the responsibility of being at the head of government then resign and we will take over...
