If you die today

Imagine you have died – that is absolutely certain to happen to all of us and relatively soon – a group of people have gathered to honor your life and each one tells the most important thing (s) you did that made the world better. What do you think they would say about your life?
For those of you who respond, some will try to make a joke of the question, some will try to divert the issue to someone else, some other subject, or by an attack on someone or some group.

He loved his dogs, hunting and fishing. Often generous to a fault and always believed in having fun above everything else.

Wow..... this is a hard one. Takes some soul searching, as I know what I would like for people to say but have my deeds lived up to how I want to be remembered. I want people to think I always did the best I could without causing pain to anyone or anything. But, that is an impossibility because I know of each time when I could have done better and I know each time I caused someone pain. So, I will settle for "She always had the best intentions."

Glaucon-that he taught his children that if a job was worth doing it was worth doing correctly to the absolute
best of their ability. Probably too much of a perfectionist and generous to a fault.

If I were in that group I would have something a bit different to say. Just from your present comment, I have no doubt you are a very good person. You show amazing self reflection compassion, empathy and morality. I am sure I would say you were kind and generous and, most of all, by the example, you influenced others to be better humans. You are very hard on yourself and I think those at the RIP will share very positive memories of you you.

You are so very generous and kind. I am deeply touched. If only one person has such kind words at my passing, then my life will have been spent well. Thank you!

It sounds like they would be saying he had a very high opinion of himself.

You imagine they would be saying that he was kind to himself and dogs and his only fault was that he was overly generous.

Glauconh-don't know as he preferred the shadows to the limelight. Do good deeds but remain
anonymous if possible.

Here lies old Glaucon.

The succubus spook.

A cad and a coward.

His brains made of puke.

He never was anything

But lazy and cheap

It's all over now

Let the fool rest in peace.

She never wavered from her standards of behavior. She spent years tutoring students. She was always an available listening ear.
