Samuel L Jackson has criticised the casting of black British actors in roles about American race relations.

In an interview with the New York radio station Hot 97, Jackson suggested that Jordan Peele’s satirical horror film Get Out, which starred British actor Daniel Kaluuya as an African-American man falling victim to white liberal r****m, could have benefited from having an American actor as its lead.

“There are a lot of black British actors in these movies,” Jackson said. “I tend to wonder what that movie [Get Out] would have been with an American brother who really feels that.

“Daniel grew up in a country where they’ve been interracial dating for a hundred years,” he said. “What would a brother from America have made of that role? Some things are universal, but [not everything].”

I've always liked Jackson, but now he is beginning to sound like a jerk. He needs to go back to acting, or selling credit cards. As a political commentator, he's not.

Also, I am tired of hearing about Brothers. My Bible tells me all men, white or black or red or yellow, are brothers.

Why do actors get media exposure for their political stances, when I don't? If your running for office, I want to hear you-Liberal or Conservative or wh**ever. If you are not, SHUT UP. I SAID, SHUT UP.

I did myself, gjc, until I hear him talk as himself; as ALL of "Hollyweird" (D), tend to do. (D)e Niro was the one who really lost my (R)espect!!!

I wonder what would become of Hollywood if "fly-over" stopped going to the movies?

I haven't been to a theater since "Passion of the Christ" or "Two Brothers".

I'd be (D)amned if I would spend another cent on ANYTHING "Hollyweird" (D), ever again, QG. I can't disassociate their faces with their liberal progressive ideology, and have a million other more-important things to do.

I haven't been to a movie since The Right Stuff, which I think was 1981. Why should I pay $10. for one movie; put up with the noise on either side of me; praying my car is not stolen while I'm inside; and having to scrape all the gum and other Sh-- off my shoes when I get home? When I was a kid, I paid .20 cents to see two movies, a serial, a newsreel and a cartoon. Oh and by the way, .l5 cents for a drink and popcorn.

Hollywood was better in those days. Movies were about love, adventure and history. Now, their about sex, aliens and zombies. Give me a break.
