Slatten, a preist and lawyers

Slatten decided to rid the world of lawyers(to the best of his abilities anyhow)
So every time he saw a lawyer while out driving,he would run over said lawyer
He could tell lawyers by the slime trail they leave.
One day as he was out driving(having already run over two lawyers),he saw a Priest walking along side of the road.
Slat pulled over and said "hop in here Father,I'll take you to the church"
So the Priest got in the car with Slat and they proceeded toward the church.
Then Slat espied another lawyer and swerved the car to run over him.
but at the last moment he remembered the Priest was with him and swerved back and avoided hitting the lawyer,but he heard a thump
looking back he didn't see anything,and
Slat said"Oh my, Father ,"I nearly ran over that lawyer,but I missed him.'
the Priest said"that's okay Slat,I got him with the door"

But, did you know that my Dad was an attorney/lawyer 
He had more honesty and integrity than just about anyone I have ever known.
BTW, he knew more lawyer jokes than most.

I had previously been informed of your fathers profession
exactly the reason I used lawyers
I'm sure he did have honesty and integrity
and I think he instilled it in his son

My Dad was also a Marine...born in 1926. What year were you born, ol' friend?
No doubt, you set a high standard for your sons/children.
Yet, you enlisted in the Navy.

My children,inspite of the terrible handicap of being my offspring
have all grown into upstanding citizens
I am concerned about my great grand kids
they are attending todays colleges
I joined the Navy because the Marines wouldn't accept me
seems my IQ was over their limit
and they felt like I would discourage their recruits
