This is what I think. America has larger oil, and natural gas reserves than any other country. Production is higher than ever. All from private land. The Obama administration won't allow us to exploit, and produce on public lands. We own these lands folks, not them!!
Think of the jobs and prosperity exploiting our recources would create! we are not ready for "green" energy. It can help, but you can't flip one switch off without having the other ready to flip on!! Common sense!!

The Saudis are laughing at us, yet worried at the same time because of the potential here.

We are currently exporting more oil than importing oil, which pretty much our addiction to foreign oil! It's all BS, the oil is here, we don't have the decency to lower the value of a barrel to get the Suadis and OPEC to follow suit, that is pure Capitalism at its best.

OPEC should go away and WE should dictate the price!! Oil and energy is what makes the world go round...and we have it! We have gutless, greedy politicians k*****g America!!

Get rid of Obama and the green crap and between oil and natural gas we'd be set for 100 years. While were using up what we have work on the green stuff.

Well we have no control over that happening, china is in control of demand, supply and price will follow. Their growth is slowing, so with that and the fact that the US has plenty, we should see a fall in prices for a while. Doubt it will ever be under 3.00 a gallon though. We can only hope the greedy in big oil don't just keep jacking it up do to the energy industry using less. We shall see, happy New Year!

Not really sure how you come up with greedy big oil when they explorer, drill, t***sport, refine it, and final t***sport it for less the 5 cents a gallon. Seems to me each state and the federal government is far more greedy.

That statement is right on the head Arch . It's happening right here in my home town now. But all the gas & oil is being shipped out of the country. Big business at work. so utility bills, gasoline,oil,all keep rising. But government state & the Feds both get a big chunk of the lease & the royalties .I know they get over a third of mine. Big business at work. so i know the government will survive.I'm just to sure about my friends & Neighbors.And have a great NEW YEAR. GEM

Last thing I read it would create 100,000 jobs so that sounds like a good starting point. I'm all in favor of green jobs but not as money handed out as favors to political friends which was done by this administration.

your right guy. It's Capitalism,greed,we have all kind of oil & gas here. but some of the biggest deposits have even been taped yet. If i remember right, the biggest is under the everglades,in Florida. federal owned land. when my niece & her husband lived & worked there,the us & opec were paying about 6 or 8 dollars a barrel. then breaking it off in us . Saudi Arabia . got smart & raised the price. Big business don't care who they hurt, as long as it's not them. It's all about money. I used to say management was brutal ,but that is not true .THEY ARE LETHAL .'' GEM''

The most expensive part of the cost of a gallon of gas is the taxes. Add to that the fact that the libs in CA require about 15 different "blends" to satisfy their pure air requirements.

That part is well & good,but all the gas & oil is leaving this country & going out of the country so what good does that for people living in America . Only a few jobs will remain .It's not like it is going to have a long time effect for anyone here in the USA. I won't have any long term good for anyone in the USA. And won't lower anyone's gas bill , ya see what I'm saying. We need manufacturing ,not importing & exporting , the way it's done today.check the label on almost thing we touch came from somewhere else, food clothes cars you name it ,not much from here. that is what sucks . Coos Bay Tom Loc: coos bay oregon

Back in 1978 my buddy went to Kansas to work on the oil rigs. Oil was worth $5.00 a barrel then. We have resources enough to drop the oil price and give Americans a break. We are supposed to be heading into energy independence. Why are we exporting our oil and importing foriegn oil?
