They do that anyway. They like to play in the middle of the night, in the middle of the bed.

The young one has started the habit of waiting until I am finally totally asleep and coming up to play in my hair. :| :hunf:

I am only providing the "lopping" weapon. The SM is assigned the first lop.

Well, young lady, and good buddy, I will meander my way to bed, and get what sleep I can, before the pets awaken us in the morning, around 5 AM.

Sleep well, my friends.

I had fun, tonight.

Let us hope she isn't sufficiently endowed with her strength should that occur.

I should have known, it would be Salty who provided the only concern for my future well-being!

Seriously, I am so glad many here had the opportunity and good heart to engage in uplifting conversation, curiouser that one involved that has relentlessly attacked me drew my gracious nod. We are not so different as we may appear at times.

Something is on my mind, sorry. I thought that Thanksgiving was bad but I was totally unprepared for Christmas. Owie! I really had no idea how tied to this friend I was. Life made not only sense but good sense when he was here: then meaning was removed, like a rug under my feet.

God, did we laugh. We seemed to get a kick out of everything and probably seemed mad, no one else seeing what could possibly be so funny. I really miss that, the big and easy bellylaughs we shared so casually. Nothing seems quite so funny anymore. It seemed like we were these timeless characters in some great novel that would always be around to put a peculiar spin on the mundane, not really wisdom but enough to snap conformity and take a second look. No one shares this with me now. Two makes a probable commentary; one only a peculiarity.

I am really lost and had absolutely no idea his demise would result in this feeling. Funny, thought I was self-sustaining, could take any loss and keep on ticking. Yet in a way I am glad I am so out of sorts and lost: I really, honestly, never thought I was capable of caring this much for anyone. Never looked at our lengthy friendship closely or deeply; it just was (and ever would be?).

All things considered, however, it is better to have loved and lost to never have loved at all. Thank you, Tolty, wherever you are.

For many years, beginning with my stint in the Navy,I was a steady boozer. I drank beer and whiskey every day, including before going in to my workplace, which meant the loss of a couple of jobs.My friends would visit and harangue me to the bitterest of ends to quit drinking-but I would turn a deaf ear to them.I proceeded merrily along, drinking, falling down drunk, with the foggiest of brains.
It would take a monumental wake-up call upon having a physical at a hospital to eradicate this curse. I saw an x-ray of my lacerated pancreas and a delapidated liver. My doctor told me that I would be a fool to continue on my present course.
That is the long and the short of it.Allow me to step up on my soapbox for a moment and urge all of you who have a similiar problem to cease abusing alcohol in any way you can.A lucid mind and good health is a much more saner way to enjoy life. ZENO
