This is a great article! I am saving the info for future reference, and I suggest all conservative bloggers do the same. I think we should SATURATE the internet and email with this info. MAKE it THE THING TO READ - and quote.

The biggest question I have is, why do we continue to pay taxes as ordered? If a few million of us would simply refuse, what would happen? Jail time? At least that would force the utilization of OUR money for OUR benefit, huh?

I may be wrong by a bit. But isn't the total Federal Government salaries ($1.1trillion) about 46$ of what the Government takes in ($2.4trillion)? It looks like maybe we should be working for a smaller, much smaller Federal Government.

Sounds good to me, but then what do you do with all those people out of work with no marketable job sk**ls?

Good citizens then feed them, help them get on their feet, help them in every way they can. In my community that is done on a somewhat regular basis.

When I was growing up, there was no "welfare". Had there been, my family would have qualified for help, and my father would have died before accepting a dime - he would have felt shame. My dad would rather face hunger than shame. We never went without a decent meal - it wouldn't have suited an Obama, but we did quite well with it. We each had two pairs of shoes - one pair for work, another for Sunday School. We were taught the value of a dollar, had both parents and were raised properly - not at all like today's children who come home to empty houses, shift for themselves, make their own rules, and eventually learn some discipline or fail. Do I want to return to the good old days before welfare? Yep, sure do because people were nicer then.

Good reply, I think I like you.
I was actually trying to be a little factious because most of the government employees that I have had to deal with didn't seem to have very marketable sk**ls and attitudes.

Question. Did you come from my neighborhood? You appear to have the same kind of up-bringing that I had.
I only had one pair of shoes though, wore them to school and Sunday school, they had to last all until the next year when the tomato crop was sold and school clothes were ordered from the Sears Roebuck catalog.

Right, that is incorrect by 6.22#, a .00002821% error.

Never knew anyone on welfare until I moved to Florida in 79. I remember my aunt talking about people who were but I didn't even know them. My father always worked, so did my mother. If I wanted something I mowed lawns or raked leaves or shoveled snow or dreamed of having that one day. Asking the government for something was out of the question, no car-walk.

Thought inspiring post Big Mike.... What if We the American People from all parties demand all Government employees take a big rate of pay cut until the rest of America catches up... keeping the small salaried people close to normal scale but hit the fat cats hard like 50% or more... that would give some incentive to do their jobs or get out of Washington while freeing up some capital for Americas budget and other needs... just a thought,, I thought the cost of Government was a lot less.

Were you hiding in my closet in the 50's? Jeepers for school and one good pair for church. No tomatoes but lot's of potatoes and that bought all my school clothes. High school you didn't wear sneakers, those were for gym, you wore real shoes, pants not shorts and a button down shirt not a t-shirt.

Old fashion, maybe, but you were in school to learn so you at least looked the part.
