This is truly disturbing and amazingly unreported.

Turning a blind eye on the Fukushima disaster:

Environmentalists are concerned.

There have been many other reports of fish and sea-creature populations dying in the Pacific. Also, there have been many discoveries of cesium–137 in high concentrations in seafood caught in the Pacific and sold in North America. There have also been many reports of unexplained deaths among wildlife:

•Vast amounts of sea stars are “melting” off the west coast of North America
•K**ler whales are dying off the coast of British Columbia
•There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths due to starvation along the California coastline. The question is: why are they starving? Has the food chain been disrupted?
•Polar bears, seals and walruses along the Alaska coastline are suffering from fur loss and open sores
•Along the Pacific coast of Canada and the Alaska coastline, the population of sockeye salmon is at a historic low
•Something is causing fish all along the west coast of Canada to bleed from their gills, bellies and eyeballs
•Experts have found very high levels of cesium–137 in plankton living in the waters of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the west coast, affecting the food chain in a process called “biomagnification”

As of now, there has been no direct correlation between these events and Fukushima, but the timing of the events and some contributing factors are giving scientists pause and are giving substance for calls for more studies.

While the evidence may circumstantial at this point, it is enough for countries to take action.

Why hasn't the U.S. government?

Sssh don't tell Obama, everything he touches he screws up.

The March 2011 crisis at the Fukushima nuclear power plant was the world's worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl in 1986, but it took two and a half years after the fact for the Japanese government to ask the world for help.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Japan is finally open to receiving global aid to contain the ever-growing disaster at Fukushima, where radioactive water leaks continue to contaminate the Pacific Ocean’s ecosystem, and thus, the entire world’s food supply.

"We are wide open to receive the most advanced knowledge from overseas to contain the problem," Abe said, in English, to open a conference on energy and the environment at an international science forum in Kyoto. “My country needs your knowledge and expertise.”

Abe has many times attempted to assuage national and international concerns. After Tokyo was named host in early September for the Summer Olympic Games in 2020, Abe repeatedly told the International Olympic Committee that the Fukushima situation “is under control.”

Sadly I see very little in the media about any of this, should be start worrying when they start dropping dead on the west coast?

Like the sailors on the USS Ronald Reagan.
I haven't heard one thing about the fate of those sailors.
It's utterly irresponsible of the media.

Check out this....Shhhhhh....secret order by the POTUS
Don't tell anybody...

Why Did Obama Give The Order For 14 Million Doses of Potassium Iodide?
by NTEB News Desk

The Department of Health and Human Services has ordered 14 million doses of potassium iodide, the compound that protects the body from radioactive poisoning in the aftermath of severe nuclear accidents, to be delivered before the beginning of February.

According to a solicitation posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, the DHHS asks contractors to supply, “potassium iodide tablet, 65mg, unit dose package of 20s; 700,000 packages (of 20s),” a total of 14 million tablets. The packages must be delivered on or before February 1, 2014.

Why are they ordering so many doses, and why now? Obviously they are planning for something quite specific, and not just planning in general.

Potassium iodide helps block radioactive iodine from being absorbed by the thyroid gland and is used by victims of severe nuclear accidents or emergencies. Under current regulations, states with populations living within 10 miles of a nuclear plant are encouraged, but not required, to maintain a supply of potassium iodide.

A search of the FedBizOpps website returns no other results regarding the purchase of potassium iodide from any government agency, suggesting that the DHHS bulk buy of the tablets is unprecedented in recent times.

The ongoing crisis at the Fukushima nuclear power plant has prompted concerns that the purchase is connected to the threat posed by radioactive debris washing up on the shores of the west coast or the potential for another natural disaster occurring in Japan which could impact the U.S.

“Governments usually respond to disasters very similarly; first move is to avoid panic,” writes The West Wire. “The Japanese didn’t want to panic the world, or tarnish their honor and now, as a consequence of their reluctance, Japanese citizens and international aid personal find themselves in a horrible state of being.”

“Panic is usually avoided by keeping their citizens as blind to the t***h as possible, until confrontation with the t***h becomes inevitable. The crucial question at this juncture; “would our government be reluctant about warning us of potential disaster, in an attempt to avoid panic?” 14 million doses of Potassium Iodide say that might just be the case.”

Last month it was revealed that 71 U.S. sailors who helped during the initial Fukushima relief efforts are suing the Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) after they returned with thyroid cancer, Leukemia, and brain tumors as a result of being exposed to radiation at 300 times the safe level.

TEPCO has repeatedly been caught lying in their efforts to downplay the scale of the disaster. In September it was confirmed that radiation readings around the power plant were 18 times higher than previously reported by TEPCO. After a tank leaked 300 tonnes of toxic water in August, groundwater radiation readings at the plant soared to 400,000 becquerels per litre, the highest reading since the nuclear accident occurred in March 2011.

Top scientists have warned that if another major earthquake hits Fukushima, which is almost inevitable, it would mean “bye bye Japan” and the complete evacuation of the west coast of North America.

Now that radioactive debris is hitting the West Coast of North America, numerous different animals and sea life are suffering from mysterious diseases, including 20 bald eagles that have died in Utah over the last few weeks alone. source - InfoWars

Here's a good site if you want to track the radiation.

Do some research. This is by far the worst nuclear disaster yet.

You are MORE than correct LT....I had to start this post to try and inform those watching one of the other shiny balls.
There doesn't seem to be many who are interested at this time.

I guess they will be interested when utter chaos breaks out on the west coast.

It would be better to not panic the liberals on the left coast. Panic would just drive them inland, we must keep them where they are and perhaps the radiation will sterilize/k**l them and we won't have to worry about them or their offspring v****g

All they have to do is put the only warning of the dangers on Fox News and they will deny it and stay right where they are.

Not really looking to k**l anyone and we have enough Obama zombies. This may be no kidding matter as I have seen two cases of radiation poisoning.
