The Bible Fused to Steel on 9/11 World Trade Center, You Won’t Believe What Verse…

When the Twin Towers came crashing down, our nation was devastated, but among the rubble was a small relic, found on Tully Road months later, with a powerful message.

Found by one of the firefighters on this temporary road was a Bible opened to Christ’s Sermon on the Mount and Matthew 5:39: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also,” via The New York Times.

Photographer Joel Meyerowitz, known for his work, “Aftermath: World Trade Center Archive,” stated that the firefighter gave it him, knowing he was the record keeper of the horrific event.

“My astonishment at seeing the page that the Bible was open to made me realize that the Bible’s message survives throughout time,” he stated, “and in every era, we interpret its teachings freshly, as the occasion demands.”

This artifact of the Twin Towers has been around quite often, a message of hope and forgiveness to those who had family members who perished in the attacks. This artifact was even shown to Pope Francis during his visit to the National September 11 Memorial Museum.

This museum is filled with odds and ends, nothing rare or “special” to some. Just typical things belonging to Americans — shoes, credit cards, glasses, books, toys. The everyday items show these people were expecting another normal day before tragedy struck.

This message was needed more than ever in the aftermath. It seems to have come from Heaven itself. The verse spoke of forgiveness, to turn the other cheek rather than retaliate. To many, this verse represents America.

We as Americans are called to love our enemies and to accept them rather than dismiss them. We are called to show compassion, even when we would rather do the opposite. This does not, however, mean to let others scorn us and take advantage of our kindness.

Many ask questions about preventing this horrific attack that affected the lives of every American, a day where everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when the attack took place. Could it have been prevented? The answer to that would be yes — if religions that differ could accept others as they are instead of expressing their beliefs through violence.

And another question looms in the years after the attacks of 9/11. Our country is at a crossroads, at a time where our own people are turning against each other as new leadership takes its seat. Our country could go one way and change for the worse and not the better or choose to turn the other way. The question is: which way will we go?

President Trump is trying to lead this country down the right path — to change for the better, to become great again. And while the liberals may not agree with his implementations, they are not done out of spite but out of the need to protect the American people. We should turn the other cheek, but that doesn’t mean we should give others the opportunity to strike it.

Our Statue of Liberty does say: "Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free:
But NOWHERE does it say: " Give me your criminals, your rapists, your hidden terrorists posed as refugees!!!!!

What Christians fail to realize is that the bible chock full of evil verses, the fools only read the parts they like, and ignore the rest!

Deuteronomy 22:28-29; If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her!

Now, since your god allowed such an atrocity to occur, it would be a good time to reconsider your misguided devotion!

I just wonder: what if the numbers of this last e******n were reversed. What if Clinton would have won the EC and Trump the popular v**e. I wonder what the whiny Dems and progressives would have said. Would she be an illegitimate pres, so called pres? What would the MSM say and do? I think most normal, logical-thinking Americans know the answer.

What you fail to realize is that Christianity is based primarily on Jesus' teachings in the NT. Moreover, what you fail to realize is the context of OT passages and how they relate to the entire Bible. Another thing you fail to realize is that atheists such as yourself are no authority on the Bible or anything regarding spiritual life. Finally, what you need to realize is that your opinion of things of this nature is meaningless.

Glade Skipper has proven his lack of intelligence once again!

"..the scripture cannot be broken." Jesus Christ John 10;35

Like I said, you have no business pretending you know anything about the Bible. But since you cherry picked a quote--which is meaningless without context---tell us what it means.

Or, figure this one out, smart ass: "Think not that I come to destroy the laws and the prophets, I come not to destroy, but to fulfill."
