Numbers have a way of being fiddled with, depending on the perceptions of the liberal view.

He has only been in office for 2 1/2 weeks. He doesn't even have his total cabinet YET! So looking at US Employment Numbers are a MOOD point, at this stage of the game.

If I am looking at things in the right way, I expect the unemployment rate to have fallen. One reason, season employment normally goes up this time of the year in anticipation of home improvements and projected new builds in housing. If these indicators are right there will be a domino effect... seasonal electricians, plumbers, and so on down to fast food. If the GPA continues to grow, many of these employees will be kept on in full time positions. Right now, even with the new way of calculating unemployment, it is 4.8.... do not be too shocked it it falls between 4.4 and 4.5 which will be on target. I do not expect anything lower.

I get your point. Anything to make President Trump look bad is the trend. However, anyone that thinks any President can change everything in a couple of weeks is delusional, anyway. We just have to keep fighting against the "f**e news" and liberal "h**e machine".

Bear in mind that, like all other presidencies, Trump's first year will be impacted heavily by Obama's last budget, which expires in September. Most people simply don't know this.

Give me a break. The numbers would reflect more of Obama than Trump for crying out loud. Grow up. Your evil queen lost the e******n, we have seen the light, and are hopeful of the future. Now we just need to throw half the left in jail where they belong.

Keep in mind, Trump's unemployment numbers will decline at first because of all the federal workers that will be let go. Plus, there is some lag time before the economy picks back up and replaces those jobs. Just like during Reagan's first few years. So, don't look for good numbers for the first year or two.

To everyone who is already trying to blame Trump for a failed unemployment drop and a failed economic growth and failed foreign policy. As i said the guy has been in office 2 weeks, and he is already getting blamed for obama's failures. He is already following through on what he said he was going to do while campaigning. I havent seen anything he didnt promise. That is why so many v**ed for him in the first place. A washingto fresh air from all those washington old time bureaucrats. Who wont v**e for anything that makes the other party look too good. Heck with what is best for actual Americans!!!

It's called "obamanomics," Weasel. It goes like this. You take ANY number, and if you want it to look better, you just add wh**ever is necessary. If you want the number to be worse, you just subtract wh**ever number is necessary. And it works ALL THE TIME. Just {for example} look at the unemployment numbers "Barry" came-up with. All that was necessary was to throw all those who were still unemployed after their "entitlement" ran-out, off the list, and ba-da-bing, 3.7% unemployment; while some employment aged numbers were hovering around 58%; but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Hummmmmmmmmmmm. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRESIDENT "45" DONALD J. TRUMP (R)!!!

Under Mr. Obama, there were 95,102,000 out of the labor force. BLS was dishonest in computing the rate of unemployment. There were 6.6 million working part time only. That's a lot higher than the great recession which was 4.5 million. BLS counted part time workers are full time to lower the rate of Mr. Obama's unemployment.

But the fact of the matter is those 6.6 million don't have enough income to feed their families. Therefore they were all qualified for free welfare money, free medical insurance, free education, free housing, free food stamps. It cost the government taxpayers more when there are part time workers only. They also don't contribute much to the SS and Medicare. They don't pay income tax because of the income threshold. That is why taxpayers feed about 48 million households with food stamps, 56% of adults don't pay any income taxes. And more families qualified for the EITC (earned income tax credit) from the IRS when income is low but many dependents. IRS cost $15.6 billion every year to the EITC.

Another contributory factor for high unemployed is drug addiction. Drug addicts went higher under the Obama administration because so many started this liberal source of money called marijuana, like Washington state, Colorado. This substance makes the addicts or first time users, become hard core addicts as they continue using. Eventually they become hard drug addicts. As a result they could not get jobs; their brains are so screwed up. They become more users of the Medical facilities that cost tax payers so much to fund their medical care.

Therefore those thugs on the streets, B*M, i*****l a***ns, rapists, join radical Muslims to r**t, terrorize, and cause mayhem, k**l law enforcement officers, law abiding hard working taxpaying citizens of our country. The brains of those r****rs are dysfunctional and violent. Because majority of those r**ting have addicted to drugs, their brains are damaged. Millions of them are now r**ting on colleges and universities. They don't want to give up their drug addiction. They don't want to work even when President Trump is preparing to give them jobs. They are so drugged, and won't give up that addicted lifestyle nurtured by Mr. Obama. In addition, Soros is an enemy of the United States who funds these thugs to r**t and cause mayhem.

This is the government of Mr. Obama. Glad he is gone, but lingers around helping these people to r**t using "race".
It will take years to fix the damages he did to the United States.

Sorry, but you are wrong, historically unemployment always goes up in the first quarter (Jan., Feb., & Mar.) of every year, because the temporay workers hired for the holiday sales season (Oct., Nov., & Dec.) are then laid-off.

This year unemployment has only gone up by 0.1 in Jan., very low for the season, but the 'Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) said it was because they have added some of the over 15 million Americans of working age (16 years to 54 years of age) that Obama had them drop from the 'US Workforce', because they were without a job for 52 weeks and longer, and after 7 years and 6 months straight of Obama's declared economic recovery of June 2009, not a single one was ever been added back into the 'US Workforce' until now, because the BLS said they were not looking for a job, but the BLS just said that since Donald Trump is now President, these Obama longterm unemployed are now again looking for a job (I guess Obama would never allow the BLS to admit some of these longterm unemployed Americans were still looking for jobs during his administration).

Be prepared for a lot more jobs being added to our economy, but the unemployment rate will still go up under President Trump, because these young unemployed workers need to be added back into the 'US Workforce'. This situation is the result of Obama politicizing the federal government employees, whose job now is for them to make liberal Democrats look good to the American people, and conservative Republicans look bad to the American people. So get ready to see a lot of bad and r****d information and numbers coming from every department and agency of the federal government for at least the first year of President Trump's term.

January 2017 is the first month in 8 years that the BLS has added back some unemployed workers, that Obama had them drop from the 'US Workforce' for not looking for a job, even though the BLS was forced to add workers to the 'US Workforce' during that time because of the population increase of people reaching the age of 16 years, and the legal immigrants who have come into the USA for jobs every year, at an average of 1.4 million every year Obama was President.
