January 31, 1990:

"People lined up for hours just to try some of the food, and the restaurant served over 30,000 people, which was a record for the company."

And one that still stands today.

"The line stretched literally around the block."

One reporter covering the event noted:

"[P]eople seemed to be surprised not by the food but by the fact that the workers were polite."

This place is so popular and the food is so good:

"It isn't unusual to hear of someone holding a wedding reception [there] nowadays."

Well, where is this record-breaking restaurant?

Who owns it?

One last clue: "You want fries with that?"

Yep, you guessed it, MacDonald's. But a very special MacDonald's. The very first MacDonald's restaurant to open in... Russia.

"On January 31, 1990, McDonald's opened its first outlet in Russia, in Moscow's Pushkin Square":

The rest, as they say, is history.

(Holding a wedding reception at MacDonald's? Yikes!)

It's a diabolic plan to make them all fat on salty fries like us.
They have been drinking potatoes . That or eating them
stewed until now.
Break out the deep fryers Russia . Here we come.

Russia will be taken over from within . By T***s Fats !!
Diabolical . I love it.

Considering what the average Russian could afford to eat, Micky D's WAS good food.

A McDonalds opened in my city in Northeastern Pennsylvania in 1957. Everyone was excited about the new fast food joint. Everyone except me; a hamburger had cost twenty five cents for the last six years and these people were selling a burger for 15 cents. I was convinced that they had to be s**mming somehow, maybe they were selling dog or it was 30% sawdust or something.

I didn't have my first McDonalds burger until 1982, at which point I thought "See, I was right all along". I still don't like or eat fast food chain anything.

You should try Wendy's. They still use 100% beef. Never frozen 100% goodness. Trust me, you'll like it.

The last time I tried a Wendy's, unfortunately it was a franchise and after my daughter and I were served and sat down it was painfully obvious the place was dirty. The burger had a green color and after a bite I spit it out; it tasted foul. My daughter did the same. We dumped the burgers and after I tried to get a manager or owner with no success I called the board of health in the area and registered a rotten meat as well as filthy conditions complaint.

I remember the neon sign at McD's that displayed 5 million burgers sold. (Mid 60's)

Ha! I remember that! Also remember the one in the early '80's displaying a billion sold. I hear they quit announcing at 99 billion in 1994. That's over 20 years ago. Wonder how many it's up to now...

Just count the deaths by heart attacks in the obituaries, then multiply that by 1 billion.
It will probably still come up short, but close enough!

If people knew what went into most processed foods, they would quit eating them. Pure poison.

I worked a second job briefly in the city of Philadelphia. There was a Gino's (Gino Marchetti, a Philly Eagle Full-Back) next door and a McDonald's across the street. One of my co-workers there used to complain that with two fast food joints nearby, he had to go several blocks away to buy lunch. He claimed that if he ate in Gino's or MickeyD's more than twice a week his stomach would be in severe pain for days.

Many years ago I was on the F Plan Diet. After I was on it for a few months, I decided to treat myself to some fast food. I got sick as a dog. I was used to healthy food, and that crap messed me up real bad. People who eat that stuff are slowly k*****g themselves.

My son and I get together with my daughter and her husband and go out for supper frequently. A favorite place to eat was the Outback Restaurant in Milton Ct.. My son and I were beef eaters and always had a steak of some kind. My daughter and her husband were perpetually on diets and ate chicken or something similar. I noticed that every time I ate there I had a distressed stomach afterwards which was extremely painful and uncomfortable for several hours. I thought that somehow I had eaten too much.

We were planning a get together and the Outback was proposed. I was reluctant and mentioned to my son that I experienced discomfort every time I went there. He was amazed, he had the same experience and thought it was just his medical problems. We checked with my daughter and neither she nor her husband ever had this problem. Later, a chef in the food industry told my son that Outback used a harsh chemical tenderizer on their steaks and a lot of people got that reaction.

Stopped eating at Outback and never had a problem with a steak again. This might be anecdotal but I and my son no longer get stomach aches from our food.
