An enlisted man's logic .

A U.S. Marine Colonel was about to start the morning briefing to his staff.

While waiting for the coffee machine to finish brewing, the colonel decided to pose a question to all assembled.

He explained that his wife had been a bit frisky the night before and he failed
to get his usual amount of sound sleep.

He posed the question of just how much of sex was "work"
and how much of it was "pleasure?"

A Major chimed in with 75%-25% in favor of work.

A Captain said it was 50%-50%.

A Lieutenant responded with 25%-75% in favor of pleasure,
depending upon his state of inebriation at the time.

There being no consensus, the colonel turned to the Private First Class
who was in charge of making the coffee and asked for his opinion?

Without any hesitation, the young Private First Class responded,
"Sir, it has to be 100% pleasure.

The colonel was surprised and as you might guess, asked why?

"Well, sir, if there was any work involved, the officers would
have me doing it for them."

The room fell silent.

God Bless the enlisted man.

MANY,MANY times in my 21 years 9 months and 21 days,in the US Army, have I been around MANY officers, who didnt have any idea, that was worth a damn, and a bunch of their ideas got people k**led, like the US Marine lt,( in Dong HA,Vietnam,1968) who thought it was a great idea,to burn all the grass, inside the barbed wire, surrounding the Marine Ammo dump,Where cluster bombs were stored, burned the grass, started a pretty good fire, cluster bombs overheated, expelled the bomblets, called US Army EOD,to clean up their mess, my buddy,SSG LEWIS BLACK, picked up a bomblet,to put it into a stack, away from the main pile, bomblet went off,k*****g Lewis, My captain US Army, wouldnt let me shoot that US Marine son of a b***h,that started the fire,. I could go on and on,with these kind of stories, I met DAMN FEW officers, who could pour piss out of a boot.

If not so serious it would be the comedy of military life, but good grief, what was he thinking???
