One thing brought up in the Tillerman confirmation is that the mass murder of civilians qualifies as a war crime and since Putin ordered the bombing of Aleppo resulting in hundreds of thousands of civilian dead should he (Putin) be treated as a War Criminal?
And while I know the argument is going to be our actions in WWII but then we were at war with countries that badly wanted to destroy us and our actions were only taken at their civilians. The people of Syria are of no threat to Russia and other than trying to save Assad there is no reason for the bombings...

Where did you get hundreds of thousands?
Also keep in mind there would be no conflict in Syria if not for the continued involvement of the US.
The question you should be asking is why did we enter a sovergn nation?

No, but Eisenhower is a war criminal, having murdered over 1 million German POW's by starving them.
