If I remember correctly the original law required Congress to have to use Obamacare, (that provision was put in the bill by a Republican). However once the members of Congress were faced with the higher costs and less service they started complaining they couldn't afford it. Obama then exempted Congress and let THEM keep their insurance

Even if you do, the plan has to meet specific requirements or switch to a new plan that meets all these Obamascare requirements.

Damn your dumb. In Florida for example there is no private insurance. All insurance whether it's Florida blue or some other one has to go through the ACA exchanges. Underinsured? I guess I was. Until brilliant Obamacare my wife didn't have pregnancy coverage. Except for her hysterectomy.
