Macy's cuts 10,000 jobs. It must be Trumps fault.
I h**e shopping! To me, two simple dresses and lots of blue jeans with t-shirts or sweat shirts and I am good to go. Good socks, sneakers and boots... what more could a woman want? However, I can spend all day in Home Depot or Lows and I do spend time at the local Tractor and Feed store. Does that count?

Yes, I can say Amazon, and I do use the internet for lots of things. however, I really prefer trying on clothing before buying it, and since I am in my mid 70's the fashions for twenty year olds are not my style. what I love to do is go into expensive stores to watch the people shop, even when I have no need for things You can tell a lot about a person by how they shop, particularly how they treat the sales people who are helping them, fun to do once in a while

The reason Macy's is cutting jobs is that they aren't up to snuff with online selling.Want to make it these days they better gear up or be gone.Sears and Kmart are next

The Craftsman brand have been popular for their endurance and the guarantied return/exchange policy for years. For Black & Decker to start selling cheap tools under the brand without the guaranties would just be throwing their money into the wind. Nobody would buy their product and just go to Harbor-Freight.

I agree. Craftsman has been the tool of choice for many years due to their quality and return policy, followed by Snap-On (they went to garages and shops by truck to sell their tools). Snap-On was good quality, but higher priced. Black & Decker makes and sells "lower end" tools that are OK, but not that durable. They would have to "beef up" their products to compare to Craftsman's reputation. Almost all of Harbor Freight tools now have a "lifetime warrantee". I have all the tools I need, but I would still buy Craftsman (at least until I see how Black and Decker will perform.
I've also noticed that most expensive golf clothes available at pro shops and stores are made in Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. Can't find any made in U.S.A. We need to start manufacturing again in this country.

Very few made in the USA clothing can be found.. I am sure more are made but the only ones to come to mind are from "Duluth Trading". They include work style clothing, some are made in the USA.. And also LL Bean boots are made in the USA. But the point is, have to search to find these things..
They make a lot of clothes over seas so CEOs and get menu hundreds of millions of dollars for
There you go throwing facts at Petey bird again. Do to want to be responsible for his massive heart attack? For shame.

My point, exactly! Both of those companies produce great quality, but we need more American companies to do the same.

Since Trump is taking credit for Sprint and Ford creating jobs shouldn't he also be taking credit for Macy's cutting 10,000 jobs? Or is this like god and anything good he is responsible for and anything bad is the liberals fault?
http://www.fox13news.com/consumer/227104969-storySprint and Ford and Carrier essentially did their moves in response to Trump's win and even his influence.
Macy's was going down, down for a while now, all during Obama's economy. LOL!! They are closing stores and thus having to do away with jobs. You can't give Trump retroactive credit for a business that has been failing for years before he ever came onto the scene.
Well, I guess you could, but you'd look pretty dumb.

We can do what ever we want. But they were going down you are correct.

It is everybody's fault, not Obama's, Hillary's or the greedy democrat's fault. It is Bush's fault relentlessly stated by Obama.
The Obama administration announced a falsified records of 4.6% unemployment rate over his tenure.
Fact of the matter is 95 million of people are out of work, Obama's legacy. In addition, private companies after the government launched ObamaCare, government required companies with 50 or more employees to pay for health insurance of their employees. Well companies could not survive with the very high overhead. What did the company do? Thousands of full time workers were given 29 hours or less of work per week To supply the remaining hours vacated, companies hired employees given same hours of 29 or less per week. Therefore that increased employment. But the wages could not sustain the worker's families 29 hours work, so that they all applied for welfare subsidies, and food stamps. That is why welfare has gone up to 56%, and food stamps users had added 15 million more.
The recent law required increase of minimum wage from $9 per hour, to a maximum of $15 per hour This is one of the factors that companies laid off workers. Higher wages increase also increase overhead costs. Other factors why Macy's or Walmart reduced employees, is due to slow or stagnant sales this Dec. 2016. Slow sales because people do not have enough money to buy goods due reduction of hours on their employment.
Recent minimum wage were required to increase from $9/hour to $15/hour. This factor will increase the overhead costs of business more than their profit. Therefore, they have to reduce manpower to go on business. Companies have to make profits to stay on going operations.
In 2017, we hope that President Trump could increase job growth based on his policies. This will empower growth of our economy, more employment results. I can see that we will have robust growth in all sectors, when jobs are abundant. Housing ownership grows, and consumption will rise. There will be abundant supplies of jobs. Higher Federal and local taxes will be collected so that our government does not become insolvent.
The LEGACY of Mr. Obama's administration, he left us with $20 trillion national debts, and $ 127 trillion unfunded liabilities.

http://www.fox13news.com/consumer/227104969-storyIf you were paying attention, you'd know that Trump was directly responsible for Macy's down fall and we're not done with them yet.

I love watching people shop, but for me, what I need is outfits that look good with the dogs when we are in the obedience ring, and jeans and tshirts. Pet supply stores, and hobby shops, plus the hardware and feed stores, of course. Most of the time I actually prefer book stores though.
