Three out of four American families haven't read a single book in the past year.

Half of Americans are below average in intelligence.

Average intelligence is the average so more then half couldn't be below. I haven't read a book in a couple years and that book--the Life of Custer--was a complete waste of time.

I'm not sure I understand you point here but I can't see that it has anything to do with Trump....

Your figures are somewhat distorted. One in four adults read no books at all in the past year, according to a study conducted by “The Pew Research Center”.

Half of Americans are below average in intelligence.

A. 50% of people equals half of the American population.

B. And the average of anything is based on 51% majority.

C. It is a contradiction in itself to say that half of anything is below average.

So what your point?

I can see why you wouldn't understand what it has to do with Trump.

Half of any group are below average and half are above average if you are referring to arithmetic average.

Reading provides us with opportunities to learn stuff we didn't know and, even to learn stuff we didn't know we didn't know.

Where do you get information?

It's OK to be wrong. Why don't you step right on down and explain what it has to do with Trump?

You obviously don't know what average means and that is apparently my point.

You missed my point because apparently you don't know what average means. Average is the point in the middle of distribution. There are three ways to describe average: mean, median, and mode. Most often when people who know statistics use the word, average they mean what is derived when all of the scores are added up and divided by the number of scores. This is the arithmetic mean and it means the score at which half of the scores are above it and half are below it. IQ tests are designed to have and average IQ of 100 and half of the subjects would score above and half below that number.

You two must be so proud of yourselves,

You should get together, I'm sure together your intelligence would be delusional!!!

Delusional comes from a Latin word meaning "deceiving." So delusional thinking is kind of like deceiving yourself by believing outrageous things. Delusional thoughts are often a sign of mental illness, but the word can also be used more loosely to describe behavior that is just not realistic

Karl Marx thought he was the most intelligent man who ever lived. A person can believe him or herself to be highly intelligent; however, the more they give voice to it before others the stupider he or she appears. Unfortunately, we judge by appearances. The Democratic Party, the party of the "Southern Plantation," has picked very "intelligent looking" candidates for the presidency; they have also promised very "intelligent sounding reform." But their policy actions have exposed them for the "stupid s***e owners" that they still are. So much for I.Q measurement.
