Cute media words

The media surely lacks in originality and validity. All those hard surfaces have been 'tarmac' since Bubba and Lynch met at Sky Harbor in Phoenix. Similar to all water being 'pristine' if someone thinks some pollution might occur.

Today the airport incident happened and people were out on the 'tarmac'.
Most any i***t knows concrete when they see it except those in the media where they must use the buzz words.
Googling tarmac gets one the definition. Short for tarmacadam. mixture of gravel and you guessed it, tar. Process was patented in 1902.
Airplanes like good hard concrete, reinforced at that. Cars can use plain old 'blacktop' aka tarmac.
You can guess, slow Friday here.

SSN 686. I volunteered for subs as an E-7. Made CWO2 two years later and was t***sferred to the cruiser Navy.

I qualified in five months, which took special permission from Admiral Nickols to put my dolphins on, since one usually is not allowed to qualify with less than six months aboard.

As a non-qual E-7, try getting signatures on your qual card from sub-qualified E-4s and E-5s! Some of those guys really put me through the ringer, but I learned a lot from them...it really helped me.

Also went aboard after skimmer duty as an E-5. Began throttling in the FER after a hectic weekend of qualifying in both engine rooms. Full (SS) qualies in about 6 months. Good ride after that.
