Woo Hoo! More winning!

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is planning to cut 30 percent of its budget by Jan. 1, 2018, the end of President-elect Donald Trump's first year in office.

“Because the far right will control all three branches of the federal government, we will face serious threats to the ability of working people to join together in unions,” President Mary Kay Henry wrote in an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg Businessweek.

It's a good start. Hopefully they will kick unions out of government and education as well.
Doubtful but one can hope.

Hogwash. Government has no control over how or whether unions are organized or not. I notice that statement was included in an 'internal memo'. No indication what else was in the memo...

Larry the Legend-think again. What happened to the Unioin Air Traffic Controllers who refused to go back to work when Reagan was president ? They were fired and replaced. Unions have no business in government at any level. Taxpayers should not be required to accede to union demands. I do not object to unions in the private sector but keep them out of the public sector period. Unions are the reason we have many government bureaucratic freeloaders drawing high salaries and doing very little to earn them. Good Luck America !!!

Absolutely Ricko. They are so embedded in education that they would have made Lucky Luciano envious .

😂😂😂😂!!!! Right on. Unions do not belong in government. I worked at a union facility (government contractor) and a lot of the workers did only what was required of them. They gave me grief for working 8 hours and producing more than the daily quota needed. I was there for 8 hours and worked 8 hours... Unions had a place for making the workplace safer and for pay e******y. They have outlived their usefulness!

Yea, I had an experience with a union, and had a union grievance put in my record. Fresh out of the military, and working at one aerospace firm, I was promoted to Project Manager and had to change offices, to another building. I packed up all my stuff, files and all, and put them in provided card board boxes, as ordered. Then, my boss, not explaining why, just said that some company individual will come by shortly and pick up those boxes and move them to my new office. I waited four days, sitting in my new office, with no files, no supplies....nothing. I finally went over to my old office and moved them myself. And, I got a union grievance put in my record. And, my boss said I could have been fired over it! I've never had any use for unions since.
