This is NOT socialism - it's capitalism, pure and simple. The rhetoric from the start was designed to get those on the right to join together and condone the GOP's intent to see the ACA fail, not because it was a bad idea - but because it was not THIER idea. That's shameful.
This is capitalism at work, I say, because for every dollar invested by the Government in someone's healthcare, saves 3 dollars in catastrophic care down the road, care that the Government would wind up paying anyway. Care givers have been whining about the enormous costs of uncompensated care for decades, and who do you think pays for that? You do, either as inflated prices when YOU need care, or through tax deductions, exemptions, grants or what have you, for the affected facilities.
Stop drinking the free koolaid, or breathing the smoke being blown up your ass, and look at the situation carefully and without partisan filters. The bottom line is, the Government winds up paying in the end anyway, using YOUR money, so a method that reduces those costs is desirable by everyone. Investing in healthcare NOW, saves billions tomorrow. That's capitalism 101.
