Most all think the rich are just bad people and we need to punish them or some how do away with them. It may take that before there simple minds come to understand the consequence of this happening. The effect would be we all living in a 3rd world country. From what I see we are well on our way.

Not Obama.... he gets 400,000 a year plus jillions in his 'petty cash' to spend.... therefore he gets to keep all of his money cause everything is paid for. He's a very wealthy man now.... all from the backs of the USA citizens.... uummm.. and I never got a 'thank you' from him either..

Complete horse s**t . Tax LOOPHOLES are $ 2.8 trillion a year and the rich get 95 % of them . One in four of the top 400 companies pay NO income taxes . 2011 Exxon made $ 39 billion in profits and paid NO income tax . GE made 19 billion in profits and got millions back .
Simpson / Bowles shows if we close tax loopholes we could lower tax rates across the board by 35 % .

Yah, lets do away with Exxon! How dear thay made .05 cents proffit on a gallon of gas. But do you know the government makes .80 cents on a gallon? If Exxon makes 39 billion how much is the government making? Can anyone do the math?
Ignorance is bliss.

39 billion is 39 billion . No tax paid is no tax paid . Are you mathematically challenged on top of flunking spelling ?

Are you stupid or just plan stupid? If Exxon makes 39 billon at .05 a gallon, how much does big brother make at .80 a gallon. And if you check Exxon ballance sheets which must be made public as a public held corp you will how much they pay, it's public record. You do like the cool aid.

Romney reported he paid like 14.7% of his $20,000,000 in income that year. You can count on him to change that eh?

Are you talking to me?
If Romney made nothing how much good would that do to our country's income? Plus he is paying what the law says to pay. Do you pay more then the law says? hummm?

When it comes to income taxes and making excuses for tax loopholes to the rich you have to be the dumbest person on this site .

Confused would seem the proper name for someone who cannot distinguish between individual and corporate taxes - even further - one who doesn't seem to understand that ultimately corporate profits come into individual's hands (and therfore taxes) at some point.

When it comes to understanding that the taxes collected are net of any and all loopholes, so the validity of the study stands up, you show to not only be "confused" but pretty darn dense yourself.

Then let's address the problem of changing the tax code and collect the other $ 2.8 trillion a year .
