Red Skelton has always been one of my favorites. He could always make me laugh without saying anything obscene or hurtful. Too bad there is not a comedian out there now who can accomplish that.

Those days are gone forever; now an f-bomb every two seconds passes for humor -- out of men and women. In Skelton's hey-day a woman who spoke like that cost two bucks.

True there were a lot of comedians and comic acts back then and they all kept it clean where children could listen and enjoy. There was Red Skelton, Bob Hope, Amos and Andy, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, Foster Brooks, The Three Stooges, Abbott and Costello and many more and they all kept it clean so it can be done. They are even funny today so it is possible with out the "f" bomb and other words that children don't need to hear.

What foresight and wisdom Red Skelton had in that final part of this in saying what a pity it would be if some would call it a prayer and outlaw it. This is the exact thing that is happening and it is the liberals that are doing it by classifying things as prayers and outlawing them.

I have a couple of his records. He was hilarious and had a very different way of looking at the world. Why you were laughing did you ever think"Well he does have a point there"?
