Levi's CEO has asked customers to leave their firearms at home when shopping for jeans,
Fine, I plan on leaving my wallet home too. Better yet I won't even shop there. I Just don't frequent places that attempt to Infringe on my 2nd amendment rights to protect me and my family.

That's what I thought. They closed their factory in the late 90's, early 2000's. Haven't bought their products since.

I believe I will carry my gun while shopping any where, any time I want to!

Same here, rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 anyday.

Why would you need a gun to buy a pair of Levis and isn't is up to the distributor and not supplier as to whether you can walk into one of their stores packing heat?

It is better to have a gun and not need it than to not have one if you do.

Maybe you are unaware that criminals (and terrorists) attack everywhere--restaurants, shopping malls, night clubs, stores, offices, hotels, airports, banks, hospitals, on the streets, schools, theaters, homes, churches, weddings, parties, on planes, boats, and trains, anywhere, somewhere, everywhere, nowhere.

State and local gun laws determine when and where it is lawful to carry a gun. Too bad that so many of those laws were passed by bleeding hearts. They have created gun free zones which have proven to be target rich environments for deranged k**lers.

No, it's up to me whether I walk into one of their stores packing heat, they can tell me to leave if they discover me carrying but they can't prevent me from exercising my rights. You do understand what "concealed" means, do you not?

Yes, criminals attack everywhere but that doesn't mean that packing heat will make any difference. If it's a terrorist attack you have a greater chance in being mistaken for one of the terrorists than being able to protect yourself. Just look at the Dallas event and it's only luck that the cops kept their cool and didn't shoot those who were legally carrying guns. The time it took to sort out who was the good guys and who wasn't could have well allowed for the real attacker to get away. Second, even though crime happens that doesn't mean the probability is so high that an armed populace would change anything. In my 60 years I've run across hundreds of thousands of people and the worst thing that happened to me was once someone broke into my truck at a Home Depot. What point does paranoia to the extent that I feel I have to be armed to go outside serve?

Carry your guns if you need to Blade. I will repeat the question though--Why do we need a gun to buy a pair of Levis?

Chicago is calling for more gun control laws following the recent shootings there. This is a tragedy to be sure, and prayers must said be for those lost. Chicago has the toughest gun control laws in the entirety of the United States. Yet they are currently the murder capitol of the United States as well with over 80% of those murders involving firearms. It seems ironic that the places in our country that severely restrict firearms to the public always seem to have the most gun related violence. On the other hand, the places that allow it's law abiding citizens to carry firearms have seen a steady decline in the same.
Seems to be pretty common sense to me. If you are a criminal, are you going to operate in an area where all of your potential victims carry guns and will most likely blow your head off, or somewhere that you know those victims are not allowed to carry guns to protect themselves?
Here is a simple fact, If someone is trying to murder you, the police are not going to be there to prevent it. You are going to die, and the police may or may not solve the crime yet you are still going to be dead.
A well aimed bullet moves faster than any police force, the other person dies, you stay alive. Which outcome would you prefer?
That government is best that governs least. - Henry David Thoreau
