They sure do when I adopted a dog in texas she had a really bad habit of jumping on my car causing scratches on the paint. I happened to be outside sweeping when she did it and reach out with the broom and swatted her. Ever since when she sees me pick up a broom she get out of my reach. I have now adopted another dog as well and I guess she told her about getting swatted because she does it as well. Wish my kids had paid that much attention when they were growing up.

I wish I had paid more attention. It would have saved me quite a few blistered behinds.

So, what did your dad use on you? Mine used something resembling a two by four, with a handle and a bunch of holes drilled into it. He said it cut down on the wind resistance. Not sure if that was true, but it sure hurt. Three whacks, and I was grabbing my behind and jumping up and down.

Those were the specials for schools that and a ruler accross the knuckles if you forgot your book.Home was simple large hand attached to a pissed off parent OR a big sister instructed to watch your baby sister it was a hair brush to the behind. Funny but in my generation you didn't see all this lawlessness or h**e for the life of me just cann't understand whats wrong with some of these younger generations. They don't seem to have any respect for life or am I just imaging that? They say it the games but good grief look at the movies we watch and the cartoons we didn't turn into mass murders or get a gun and shoot our parents because we wanted go to the movies and they said no.

The Bible explains it rather well. Raise up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it. Things went downhill in the 70's. It's only gotten worse since then. The problems we have today are the result of how the last few generations were raised. The sins of the father are being visited upon us, even unto the seventh generation.

Not that hard, when you tell the t***h. Just about everything our country suffers from is the result of practicing behavior which is contrary to Scripture. The two biggest ones, that most fail to follow, are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul. The second is to love your neighbor as yourself. If everyone would simply follow these two commandments, the world would be a much better place.

Unfortunately this country has lost its way concerning God. Children are not taught the basic as they use to.I never went to church often when young but for some reason I do believe in him and give him credit for helping get this far in my life.I truely believe this fall is one reason this country has started to slide down is by taking God out of the equation they have removed our corner stone from the foundation of our country. I for one do not go to church because they also have lost their way. Instead of teach about scriptures they take parts and put their own belief into it changing its true meaning. They have also gone against the bible by letting goverment push them to except things that the bible says is a sin. I often regret this because I'v never been baptised but have alway fear that to follow a fallen church is to become one of the fallen so have often hoped he will understand this and forgive who knows maybe being a christian will be popular again as well

The way I see it, Baptism is not required for salvation. It is nothing more than an outward sign of an inward change. Keep in mind that the thief on the cross was never baptized. There is also the fact that some people, due to illness or injury, simply cannot be baptized. Think of someone in an Iron Lung.
