Oh Yeah? You and what army?

I had an epiphany today - I just can't remember where I put it.

I learn new stuff everyday - it just happens to be the same thing everyday.

I have to write myself notes to remind me of stuff, then I write notes to remind me where I left the reminders, then notes to tell me where I left the notes reminding me where the reminders are, then notes....................

I've forgotten more than most people learn in a lifetime, at least, that's what I tell myself to explain why I don't know anything.

I really don't mind growing older, it's just the aches, pains, lack of energy, blindness, deafness, forgetfulness and flabby body that bothers me.

I used to think I kept up with the times and remembered the past, until my Grandson asked "what's an e-mail?". I replied "an electronic letter", then he asks "what's a letter?" - and I couldn't remember.

I still buy postage stamps. My GPS is a map and a compass, try plugging THOSE into the cigarette lighter. I never get lost, because I'm always right where I'm at.

Gonna make ME change? You and what army?

God's Plan For Aging

Most seniors never get enough exercise. In His wisdom God decreed that seniors become forgetful so they would have to search for their glasses, keys and other things thus doing more walking. And God looked down and saw that it was good.

Then God saw there was another need. In His wisdom He made seniors lose coordination so they would drop things requiring them to bend, reach & stretch. And God looked down and saw that it was good.

Then God considered the function of bladders and decided seniors would have additional calls of nature requiring more trips to the bathroom, thus providing more exercise. God looked down and saw that it was good.

So if you find as you age, you are getting up and down more, remember it’s God’s will. It is all in your best interest even though you mutter under your breath.
