Could someone please explain more about why we have to have an electroial college v****g our President and the VP?
I know that the constitution says that we have so many appointed - by grouping - e*****rial college people.
But, why do we even bother to have popular v****g if the e*****rial college does the final v****g?
It does not matter who YOU really v**e for. The e*****rial college decides for you anyway.
Very simple: Google E*******l College

Theoritically, to prevent more populous states from controlling the v**e. In other words, to prevent the "democracy" so many of the posters here erroneously call our system of government.

Damn, Raylan, a good answer.

They are going to create jobs. They are taking that old college building and converting it into a factory, bottling e*******lyte drinks. Pretty cool, huh? Gatorade with a v**e.

Quizzal-without the e*******l college three or four of the most populous States could elect a president leaving the lesser populated States out of the picture. The e*******l college allows all States to have an input. Good Luck America !!!

If you want New York, California, and Illinois to elect every President in the future just do away with the e*****rial college. Little states will have zero say.

As long as it's not kool aid, that would be fine.

Kool Aid can't v**e. It's not an e*******lytized citizen.

They can v**e electronically, as long as they've been to the e*******l college and gotten their degree.
I know someone will remark how dum I am, but I do not see any connection concerning Google. The e*****rial college was here many, many years before Google.
I somewhat do understand about a certain number of people taking advantage of a small population, but still seems like the popular v**e would work out better. It may not be good either but wh**ever is being used is not working. We need somekind of better system than what we have now. But then, I am not smart enough myself to know what that be either.
With the choices that have been made in the past Ipnmajor, I do not think that the e*****rial college people have ever had anykind of degrees.

There is nothing dumb about asking a question. The reference to Google was to look up the E*******l College on Google. Wikipedia has a very good primer on the subject, a basic, "hit the important parts" synopsis.
"College" does not always mean a university. In the 18th and 19th Centuries, "college' could mean any assembly of learned, educated people. It did not necessarily mean a school. Go to Google Search, type in e*******l college, and you will get the Wikipedia entry at the top. It's a pretty good basic explanation. I'm a little short on time right now, or I would explain further. Hope this helps.
