A rookie policeman pulled a guy over for speeding. He walks up to the drivers window, and the conversation went something like this.

Cop: "I need to see your drivers license."

Driver: "I'm sorry, officer. I can't do that."

Cop: "Why not?"

Driver: "I don't have one."

Cop: "OK. Let me see your registration."

Driver: "I'm sorry, officer. I can't do that either."

Cop: Sighs..."Why not?"

Driver: "If I open the glove compartment, the gun will fall out"

Cop: "And why do you have gun? Is it registered?"

Driver: "I used it to shoot the guy in the trunk of my car. And no. It's not registered."

Right about now, the rookie is getting pretty nervous. So he takes the keys from the driver, then calls for backup. A few minutes pass, and a patrol car shows up. A Sgt. climbs out and walks over to the rookie, who explains what's going on. The Sgt. walks over to the driver.

Sgt: "Can I see your license?"

Driver: Hands over his license.

Sgt: Looks at the license, then gives the rookie one of those looks. "Can I see your registration?"

Driver: Opens the glove compartment and digs out his registration. No gun, BTW.

Sgt: Sighs, and glares at the rookie again. "OK. One more thing sir. I need to look in the trunk."

So, they go to the rear of the car, and the driver opens the trunk. There is a spare tire, a crowbar, and a jack. No body.

Sgt: "All right. we have a problem here. This officer said that you had no license, a gun, and a body in the trunk. Can you explain what's going on here?"

Driver: "I have no clue, officer. Shoot. Next thing you know, he'll be telling you I was speeding."
