I heard from the NRA today that Obama is trying push through a law that would require all gun owners to carry liability insurance on every gun. I also was told he wants all large ammo purchases reported to the IRS. Anyone else hear about this?

Sounds like somebody trying to start more bs.but if you dont already have liabilty insurance you aint to smart,most responsable gun owners do have insurance.you do know the nra,and many gun shop owners are giving to hilarys campagn,do you really think they want trump to win.hell nra membership would go down dues would fall off,manufactors wouldnt like that,gun shops would not like that so why would they want trump.all the brainwashing thats been going on for 8 years obama going to take your guns.see if hilliary wins the bulls**t can keep on going hilliary going to take you guns,so then they have at least 4 more years to to make big profits off the stupid,and the nra can keep bringing in the dough

If, as you say, most gun owners already have liability insurance; then that is their choice. The government has no business mandating it. And is it additional liability insurance, or simply a mandate for universal coverage, like Obamacare. We all know how well THAT worked out. And why does the government want to know how much ammo we buy? There is no valid reason for it. I used to buy thousands of rounds at a time. Then I'd go to the range and use them. I've probably shot close to a million rounds in my lifetime. It's nobody's business but my own. And you can expect them to eventually limit how much ammo you can buy. Is that what you want? Remember. The government that governs the least, governs the best. Do you really want the government to have even more control of our lives?

Obama is not going to make you buy insurance or anybody else,hes not going to take your guns either.one thing you might look out for is if republican get total control of this country,look out they have used the second admentment to get elected,just like they used to use the religion right,
