Angry Neil Cavuto to Democrats: Stop Blaming Fox

After a testy exchange with Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., on Tuesday's show, Fox News Channel's Neil Cavuto made it clear Wednesday that he'd had enough of Democrats, from President Barack Obama on down, blaming his employer for their woes.

He finished his Wednesday show with a screed against Democrats for using Fox as their favorite whipping post.

When something goes wrong with the healthcare law, Democrats blame Fox fear-mongering, he said.

"Have a problem with doubling the gasoline tax? It's stupid, greedy Fox not seeing the infrastructure wisdom of that tax."

"It's gotta stop. It has got to stop!" Cavuto said.

"What the Fox are you doing? Trotting out Fox every time you start sweating," he said. "That's like me saying the camera adds 50 pounds until folks see me in person and say, 'Well, apparently it does not.' I really am fat. Just like these guys always bashing Fox really are scapegoating.

"Fox isn't tearing down your bridges," Cavuto said. "Graft is. Greed is. No accountability for the spending is. You sleeping at the switch is."

But Cavuto said Fox was responsible for some things.

"You didn't call it throwing good money after bad," he said. "Fox did. I did."

It's clear that Fox isn't everyone's "cup of tea," Cavuto said, "but we've got this money-in, money-out thing down to a T."

It amazes me how all the FOX News bashers know so much about it. Why do they watch it if they h**e it so much?

They don't watch it. They just echo what some left-wing nut tells them. Remember, the libtards are not interested in the t***h, they only want to hear the lies their handlers tell them. They're just lemmings marching to the cliff.

Interesting that you point that out. I had a conversation with my mother, a lifelong liberal, a couple of years ago about how she knew FOX News was so bad if she never watches it. She said her friends told her.

Because I watch Fox News, I decided I am more liberal than I realized. My elderly Mother has family and others oversee her income properties and travels abroad whenever she wants. Life is good for her.

With a lot of free time, my mother watches Fox News religiously most of her waking hours. I check in on her frequently to make sure she is OK. I have to say that watching Fox News sure agitates her a lot. She talks a lot about how President Obama and all Democrats should be shot. She fears black people even though no one of color has ever harmed her in her life. She really gets worked up and sometimes I wish she would calm down before she gets a stroke. My mother allowed my brother (Republican) to take her rifle away as her anger seems to get worse every day. Have to say, my mother has not been this agitated in her life until she started watching Fox News. My mother has started talking about leaving the U.S., because she h**es the U.S. Do I blame fox news for filling her head with fear and hatred? Not entirely, but it sure seems to have quite the influence working up her fear and anger.

Any news of influence, no matter how h**eful or twisted should be watched to be an informed v**er.

There's something wrong with this picture. It's hard to believe your mother has developed these angry feelings only as a result of watching FOX News. How did she feel about liberals before? Surely she must have been aware of what was going on in the country even before watching Fox. Wasn't she angry about things then? I'm not trying to cast any aspersions about your mother here, but perhaps she might have a medical condition which is contributing to this anger and may want to get a checkup. But of course you'd be the best judge of that.

He's learned that you've got to get some demagoguery in the show somehow, either from one side or the other. Sitting there stoically, reporting stories and doing interviews without opposing opinion or comment makes ratings drop. It's a technique they all use now. I'm waiting for it to spill over to the local broadcast stations.

Hey, Thanks, bmac! We don't have cable any more, and Fox and Neil are at the top of the list of things we miss. It's about time Fox answered those lame brained critics! We kept waiting for Pres. Bush to answer similar critics, and he never did, and now he gets blamed for EVERYTHING! I hope it gives courage to some other people at FOX.

coming from you the concept of t***h is suspect at best, your version of t***h is nothing more than jaundiced opinions

I don’t know. My mom had an annual doctor’s checkup and all seems normal. My mother has a circle of retired friends who encourage her anger. Her friends talk about how nice it would be if our President’s was k**led or put in prison. Her friends also feel only Fox tells the t***h and encourages her to only believe what she hears on Fox. So she doesn’t see other news. Her friends are of similar age, religious believe, education and wealth. Maybe they do not get as worked up as my mom, but they are pretty angry when they talk about politics and that happens a lot

I'm a big fan of FOX news but if you don't mind my saying so it sounds like your mother's friends are rather toxic, even though their ideas may be basically correct. But I don't know them and I'm no shrink, so all I can say is I hope she works out all the negative energy.

Does news bother her, 9 AM to 8 PM or is it 8 PM to midnight? From 8 PM on it's mostly opinion but regular news from most stations other than what the others decide to skip right over, now that bugs me.

Does Fox news make you feel angry?

When I watched three networks I wondered why this or that wasn't on the others, when it hit me the others were filling time with fluff stories. Very things that I want to know about are missed by FOX.
