Happy to see you have returned. How is your neighbor/friend progressing?

Hey, Salty. Hope you enjoyed your visit with Alex. AuntiE filled me in some, mostly online, on the OPP.

I will PM you about my neighbor. No sense in putting it out there on the thread!

Check PM, later this evening. I am on break from watching TV with the Sgt. Major. Gotta go!

I think,,,, that if I fired one round a day,,, to eat something,,,,, with what I have loaded on hand,,, I would last 90years, before I have to reload again..

But you sound like you might have been military,, so you know that is about 5 firefights,,,, worth of ammo...

I have a progressive reloader so when I run out it is super easy to make more. I have enough parts to keep me going for awhile.

You could say I have been in the military. I am retired from it, so yea, I have spent some time in there.

As for lasting through a firefight, I don't know how many rounds it takes to last through one. It just depends on the fight and who you are fighting and so many other things. I have heard about firefights that well armed troops, fully equipped, still ran out of ammo and had to resort to the bayonet. Don't think I could manage that today and hope I never have to.

To which document do you refer? I feel most of us grow, and learn, with each passing day. And you?

JK, Old Gringo, about the Constitution. A weak attempt to lighten the mood. To grow and learn everyday is the greatest possible accomplishment of any human being. God bless, if or if not you do this great deed; wanting it to be so is magnificent enough and usually yields surprising results.
Unfortunately, my personality seeks holidays from this wonderful process. Or at least an extended coffee break. Luxuriating in the certainty of my rightness is like a warm bath and good massage rolled into one. That my rightness has accomplished little else but this, and may have hurt others or at least strained relations between us, comes like the results of a hangover: severe and unconsidered...and put off. I want to blame: "Party-poppers!"

To have such God like affinity for rightness must be awesome. We mortals must struggle with our innate tendency for error on a daily basis.
The paramount problem with the Constitution is that it says the same thing every time. Having determined what is right, with our superior 21st century reasoning, we feel compelled to change it. Just as there are 1000's of books written correcting God's goof ups with the Bible there are 1000's of people willing to correct the goof ups in the Constitution. With that reasoning, if God didn't really understand what should have been in the Bible, then the founding Fathers surely erred when they wrote that document.

Have you ever heard a song called "DROP KICK ME JESUS?" It is perfectly TERRIBLE humor,,,and yet pretty good when you listen to what the guy actually says and who he is making fun of. Cant recall who wrote it.
