Our house overlooked the ocean and we could see the shoals of sardines during their annual migration. That was the time we would grab our fishing rods and head to the beach. Many times the shoals were forced into very shallow water where we could scoop them up in baskets. Looking at the shoals in this video, they seem to be diminishing in size.
