Coming home this evening, we stopped by the liquor store on the way for a 12 pack of beer.
There was a hungry little gal there at a table giving out samples of Seagrams American Blend whisky. I am not a whisky guy, but this stuff is good! I bought a bottle, and we are thinking it will be great in spiced cider this winter.
Has anyone else tried it?

The stuff isn't really blended whiskey, it is essentially 25% whiskey mixed with 75% neutral spirits, it is called spirit whiskey. Basicly whiskey mixed with vodka. Whiskey drinkers will scoff at the stuff for much but mix but as long as you like it what the hell.

Not being an aficionado of whisky, I have no clue.
You, however, being an expert on everything concerning whisky, child rearing, home management, education, property rights, gun ownership, taxation, and spending other people's money should be my guide!

Dumbass!!

My preference is Wild Turkey on the rocks, my advice on any thing of this nature is if you like it buy it. Half a quart of that stuff every day would likely improve your outlook on life. Watch the volume of cider though its loaded with fiber, too much and you will likely crap yourself.

Have you ever heard of Pennsylvania Boilo? That is a mulled citrusy Holiday drink that uses whisky blends like the one you bought or grain alcohol. The coal c*****r region of northeast PA is where this is popular.

Kevin is to be congratulated. He one progressive who has shown a little bit of self discipline by cutting his drinking in half. He's throwing away the chaser. It's a start.

He is just so easy to dislike. I don't know how he does it, he just pisses me off. Must have been trained, wonder how much $$ he gets.
I'd bet his # of friends are in the very low single digit range!
If he's buying!

I like Stolichnia Vodka but 7 and 7 is a darn good drink. American blend sounds interesting.

Hey Arch, in Tennessee, we finally have a moonshine still that has been licensed to sell its mash, or moonshine, or wh**ever it's called. It's over by Gatlinburg.

Hey Bear! Long time no see!! Several years ago, a friend of ours gave us a jar of moonshine from S. Carolina. That stuff will take the paint off your car!! It is still in the back of our freezer.

No doubt it would make great anti-freeze!

I was happy to hear Jamie is doing fine, may the good Lord see that she continues in good health.

Never had it, take a little taste and see how it is....Blends do well with just about any mixer you want to use...

Not a whiskey drinker either but with holidays coming I'm sure you'll have no problem with serving it up!!!
