Is it time to look for an Independant President.

There seems to be a growing lack of faith in the 2 party system we have.

Can we start looking for some one not of the present party systems that me might agree on?

That is not the answer. The current system is what has evolved. If you dislike the two parties, you must take over one of them in the primaries. The hard core left captured the Democratic Party when Obama defeated Hillary Clinton for the 2008 nomination.

The Republican Party is still in play between the establishment, the rinos, and the tea party. Romney was the establishment and would have held off the tea party for the Republican soul if he had won the Presidency. The rinos as symbolized by such notables as Charlie Crist are better off leaving.

If you really feel that a third party is the answer, think again. Until a party fails like the Whigs did, new parties can't thrive. There are some around, but they mean little. When the Whigs failed it left an opening for the GOP and Lincoln, going into the Civil War.

Study your history.

We need to reform the Republican Party! Conservatism works every time it is tried. Every time we run a moderate, we lose. A third party only means a Democrat win. The only reason we lost this last e******n is because 4 million registered Republicans stayed home.

Watch Hillary pull a similar trick that Bill did to win the presidency. That is to find a moderate to right-leaning third candidate to run on a third party ticket to siphon off GOP v**es. Bill did that with Ross Perot...Perot h**ed George Bush, so he helped Bill.

I 100% agree. I always find third party rhetoric whether it comes from Democrats or Republicans to be insane. For better or worse you have the two parties. This ain't Europe.

For all of those third party pushers, why don't you support the Libertarian, Green, Constitution, Reform,or C*******t Parties? Unless one of the two major parties destroys itself these guys will only get an occasional Mayor or Governor elected.

The Republicans send our jobs overseas with the help of NAFTA, passed by Pres. Clinton and Svengali Robert Rubin. the Republicans wanted our jobs to go overseas as they were getting paid off by the lobbyists and the the Chamber of Commerce. So we lost good paying jobs. Both parties stink and smell of corruption. We need a third party that does not take money from lobbyists and works for the people of the United States, not foreign immigrants who take jobs away from American workers. We must get rid of all money from lobbyists to the President, the legislators as we now have a government of lobbyists, by the lobbyists and for the lobbyists. Americans rights are dwindled away. Americans can no longer get good paying middle wage jobs as the jobs are overseas in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia where workers get paid $2 a day. Rise up America and change our system of government so that third and fourth party representatives can run and be funded by the American working people. Get rid of the corrupters in our Congress and White House, who c***t the American people of an honest living wage.

The only reason you lost the last e******n is you ran Mitt Romney instead of Ron Paul . You had your chance and blew it . Don't look for reform from without . You can't win with the likes of McCain , Bachmann , Herman Cain , etc. Grow a pair ...
" Conservatism " needs to be more than anti - a******n . This country and it's people go far beyond the mentality of South Carolina . All the Norquest pledge does is preserve tax loopholes to the rich . It sure as hell doesn't do anything for middle America and it's hard working people .

It'd help if Republican primaries are held on same date throughout US or at least close together. By the time some of us v**e, we have no option. The candidate for President is already elected.

I'm in support of Jessie Ventura. He only takes money from citizens. No corporations or special interest. He wants to use citrus radio to get his message out cheeply and has chosen Howard Stern for this reason. He only will run if every state gets him on the b****t and he can be in the debates.

I consider the two parties to be one master planning party ...so an independant would constitute two again. We have to convince people to v**e for neither one. (Dem or Rep) lets just call them republodems for clarity!

Yes, it is time?? Isn't that what President John Anderson and President Ross Perot said? How about President George Wallace? I suppose he thought it was time too. We progressive Democrats wish you right wingers all the success on nominating an "independent" nominee!!

Jesse Ventura is an anomaly. He speaks the t***h! He has been quoted as saying he sees religion as a crutch for weak people. America may have been ready for a multi-racial president but it is hardly ready for a politician that speaks the t***h. All of our 44 presidents knew that Americans can't handle the t***h! (Apologies to Jack Nicholson). As a third party/independent candidate Jesse would just join the other losers before him. The two party system doesn't welcome competition. Just ask President Wallace, President John Anderson, and President Ross Perot!!!!

I don't care if the next president is Right, Left, Upper, Lower, Tall, Short, Just that he is with out a doubt Full Fledged American that so far has walked his life on American soil from Birth, as well as having a Good Heart that won't be corrupted.

(keep dreaming, right?)
