Having just heard my wife speaking on the phone, I had this idea.

We are from all parts of the country, and all speak differently than each other. There are words we all use every day that really aren't words at all. Us Texans are bad about that!

Post your non-words here, and their meaning. No politics allowed!!

I just heard my wife say "I'munna" to her brother.
Meaning: I'm going to.

GO!

Twice I had a one-sided discussion with someone in whose speech I couldn't understand one word. I mentioned this to friends and was told that that person was probably Texan. I still have difficulty in figuring out whether the Texan is asking for something with which to write or clip something together.

Well, being from Massachusetts, when I count it's; one, two, tree. I still can't figure out why the rest of the country says that wrong!
