This of course is normal for politicians, and these two got away with a lot because of the very weak moderator, and also because of the republican opposition to real time fact-checking.

Why are republicans and trump so afraid to have their silly claims challenged?

Because they know just how stupid they look and how their lies would be exposed.

EXACTLY!!! Well said, lindajoy. Another example (and a very frightening one) of the reality-TV-ization of American politics and media bias.

Far too many Americans are quite willing to go along with the pretend reality of the current administration's failed foreign and domestic policies - which b***h clinton, coKaine and their lapdog media thinks is worth bragging about.

The pretend reality is convenient and comforting - why try to face up to the messy and uncomfortable real realities?

Well said Linda. We can no longer listen and apply what they say, we can only watch what they actually do. People would be surprised if they would just research which way their so called elected officials v**ed on bills.

My vetting process of any of them comes in looking what they actually stood for and achieved in their political career....There you find their substance...Much like we do with peoples in our life.. A liar is a liar anyway we look at it......I v**e person, not party, and yes, even v**ed for a Dem because he was more aligned to my belief...

Of course my Grandfather, was likely not happy..Good thing he wasn't here...lol

Party is long gone anyway...
