tdsrnest-I have said this before but will repeat that I empathize with your son. However, Obamacare is not the answer. The answer is a replacement but with the proviso that pre -existing conditions be covered albeit with higher premium. The ACA is failing due to high premiums and deductibles that leave the insured with coverage that can only be used for catastrophic situations. People cannot afford the premiums so they opt to pay the fine. When a government penalizes its people for not buying a product that is as close to Socialism/C*******m as we want to get. The ACA is an ill conceived pipe dream and very little , if any thought, was given to what would happen after the Insurance company guarantees ran out . (The fed guaranteed that insurance companies would not lose any money for a period of three years) Now those companies are losing millions so they are baling out of the program. It is destined to fail unless it is converted to single payer Medicare . ironically, medicare is not well funded either so adding patients will reduce coverage and increase premiums for the elderly.
