When I was visiting my daughter in Hawaii a number of years ago and I don't remember now which island that they were living on then it was either Maui or Kauai my niece and I decided to take a trip around the island. The only problem was that this island had a one lane road around the one end. If you met another driver coming in the opposite direction one of you must back up until you found a spot in the road wide enough to let the other pass. Once was enough of backing up on a one lane road. We found a spot where we could turn around and did and then left never to return.
