Can someone please give me more information on The Carlyle Group. A link would do or what ever other source is available. I have heard of them but I want to know more about them and exactly what they stand for. I heard too many different stories about them and who is the brain's behind them, etc. ???

They are a private equity investment fund group. I am not aware of any political involvement of the firm overall. While they or their members have likely made some political contributions, I am not aware of any overt actions on their behalf.

Go to the forum entitled "Check Out These Guys" by emarine. He posted two articles from 7 and 10 years ago referencing The Carlyle Group. Be aware it seems quite slanted and, as stated, is not current.

This is a group that President Eisenhower warned us about when he was still president. When a president makes an enemy of the Carlyle group, the list of enemies grows very quickly. So you see this group I don't think is the global investment company.

This article below about the Carlyle Group is from (emarine) a member on this site. So I'm thinking it's not the global investment company as some one suggested in my article.

I just retired from the military after 30 years and never did business with the Carlyle group,,,,What is it they are supposed to do or have done?

Its the same group Ron... I think Eisenhower warned us about the Industrial military complex of the time....Carlyle just bought some major company's out.

The Carlyle group has so many levels and partnerships that no one can keep track of it..Was in the news about a decade or more ago..this is probable where Emarine got his info..I would call them a holding co, that is Carlyle does nothing, produces nothing but owns and controls other company s..Need to read volumes to get a grip on this outfit..They promote the business of war..in bed with countless people in this and other country s..
