The words of our fine President Obama yesterday, when broken down are very telling. He is accusing Republicans of obstructing everything he wanted to do like Obamacare, Stimulus, Supreme Court justice appointments, and on and on. I do think that he is right about them not v****g for his programs but obstructing, I wonder if he knows what that word means.

All I see is, the Rep. have been telling, what was going to happen with the Obama care. How can telling something is going to happen, and it does happen. Does that make the messenger guilty of what the message contains. Maybe the Rep., should have been quiet. You think. Last week Obama said he takes all the credit for the problems with getting on the exchanges. This week, he blames it on the insurance companies, the media and the Rep. Why don't he just go to the mirror and say, to it. I don't know what the ____I am doing, why did they elect me, why am I here, I rather be on the golf course, I don' have to be here. The American people are tired of my ____. I know what I will do. I will resign and go home.

I was referring to the fact that not one GOP v**e was registered in favor of Obamacare. Darned few of them for Stimulus and so on.

I do wonder how many people have seen that some Democrats v**ed against implementation of the nuclear option. All 100 Senators v**ed and only 52 were in favor of it.

Speaking of the nuclear option implementation, let me suggest that reading this link tells a lot about the 180 degree turn in Reid's thoughts from 2005 to today can be seen in a then and now format. Very interesting reading.

Without the filibuster, Obama's stimulus could have been much larger and we could have been out of this permanent recession we are in. The Republicans wanted to go back to Hoover's laissez-faire and 25% unemployment and banks failing.

Of course, they never let FDR spend enough to end the Great Depression until Hitler made them spend enough in WW II.

Hitler ended the German depression in one year by spending all he wanted on the autobahn. That made him very popular.

Then he spent more on TV, the volkswagen, gliders, concentration camps, airports, seaports, and ultimately on tanks, artillery, and airplanes.

Government spending will always end a depression/recession. Worry about the debt is unnecessary. WWII debt was never paid off and never will be. Deficits end up as savings in the form of US treasury bonds that are always rolled over. The interest on the debt is paid for not by the taxpayer but by the purchasers of more US bonds, which are needed as bank reserves, trade collateral, pensions, insurance, etc.

How long have you been out of high school, Marvin? What kind of higher education school have you attended? I ask these questions because it sounds like you have been studying a foreign type of economics and really don't know your hind quarters from page 9 about depressions and recessions.

You did not dispute a single sentence of mine, because you are incapable of logical argument. Your only weapon is to attack with a slur. Your ignorance is exceeded only by your arrogance.

My education comes from the following and I would recommend that you study these authors:

(books cost about $10 at Amazon.)

* Frank N. Newman, former Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury, recipient of the Treasury’s annual “Alexander Hamilton” award, author of “Freedom from National Debt” (Two Harbors Press)

* Francis X. Cavanaugh, US Treasury economist for over 30 years, author of “The T***h about the National Debt”: Five Myths and One Reality” (Harvard Business School Press)

*Warren Mosler, economist, author of “Seven Deadly Frauds of Economic Policy” (Oxford U. Press)

*Marc Blyth, Brown University professor of international political economics and author of “Austerity” (Oxford University Press)

And an internet blogger: *Dr. Stephanie Kelton, Chair of the UMKC Economics Department, at NewEconomicPerspectives.org

So you think that self-picked books are the best way to get educated. I guess you really don't have any kind of knowledge that you gained from anyone who is not a liberal writer. I knew you sounded like that. I got all of mine from colleges up to 60 years ago so little of mine came from liberal writers other than when we read some of them for discussion.

You still have not disputed a single sentence of mine because you don't have the facts you would need. Your vituperation is fact-free, probably because you don't have the required IQ to get the facts. All you have is prejudice. What you know is true because you want it to be true. But it is still based on ignorance.

So rant away, fact-free, vent your ignorance.

Yea and then we would be thoroughly broke instead of partially broke. The only thing the stimulus was for was to pay back campaign contributors. And as Margaret Thatcher pointed out socialism works really well until you run out of other peoples money. Or in other words you can't spend yourself rich.

You shouldn't say such nasty things about Marvin who has declared all of us ignorant because we can't be taken in by socialism. Keep up the good work.

You were and are unable to find fault with a single sentence I wrote. All you can do is make slurs. You have neither the facts nor the IQ to engage in a real discussion.

Naturally, after all, you are a conservative. What else could I expect?

"Government spending will always..."? Don't you mean Government Borrowing? Going further is debt may be a short term fix for the ecenomy but it adds to the anchor that is d**gging the economy to a stop. You cannot spend (borrow) your way out of trouble, only delay it.
